Just_Spike wrote:Hey tere, I'm new. I suggest that there be a section of the first post that has helpful links. The reason: I had a huge scare today with my Yellow Lab, Tucker.

I came up from spending some time in my basement-room, to find my dog wheezing and gasping for breath. I was Terrified! Thank god i remembered something out of my Small animal and vetrenary care class. I had to do the dog-version of the heimlight maneuver on him because i couldnt see what he was choking on. I got it out after about six tries. It was my sisters tennis-ball sized jawbreaker!. Im still at a loss for words, so scared, and im still shaking. it happened about an hour ago.

Here: (this will save lives) http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm ... 7&aid=3551

I would also suggest a link to a list of safe foods for dogs and other helpful things. I will update with pictures in a moment.

Jeez, I'm sorry that happened to your dog. I'm glad you knew how to help him. Is he okay?

She was supposed to come home today, but this weekend was so busy and I had a bad migraine so I didn't finish getting everything ready. She'll be coming home on Thursday or Friday. On the bright side, she is being treated for demodex right now, so it gives her a bit more time to recover before I bring her home.

I thought you had her already haha. Sorry, been a rough couple days. I'm a bit scatter brained!

My sweet baby boy has a vet appointment on
August 5th. He has some concerning lumps
that I'd like to get checked out ASAP. I can't
help but worry about him. Please keep him
in your thoughts, and send him some cancer
free vibes! <3

Alright so guys. I have a question. My dog has always experienced a heat rash type deal and we've been controlling it with spray prescribed by the vet for a year maybe more. We never overuse it or put it on if not needed. I don't think that's related but anyway.

My dog has lumps of just dry skin. I can scratch at them and it doesn't hurt or itch, and flakes of skin come right off. They're random and sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not. They don't really happen in the same place twice. But she's got a bald spot on her elbow with dry skin lumps and she's got a couple small spots of hair loss around it. What is it? It's really weird and I don't know what it is.
