Thank you! :) He loooves to pose for the camera.

Do dogs really love watermelon? I'll have to try that. I'm always looking for creative new incentives for training.

Eva and Deebee really like it, but Biscuit and Spike never had any interest in it, so it depends on the dog. Cx Be sure to remove any seeds before giving any to your pup, and they can't eat the rind.(:

Today was a productive day. Pet wise, anyway. We went to a farmer's market, and I totally fangirled because I saw a raw food booth. Last time I checked, this guy only did a market about an hour away, so I dragged my mom over there. He gave us two dog samples and two cat samples :3 Most of his raw products contain grain which is kind of weird imo, but hey, free dog food. The cat food is all grain free. The only proteins he uses are goat, sheep, and beef. He gave us his grain free beef dog food, and his sheep and wheat grass cat food. Seems to be popular with the critters. We also bought some marrow bones from him (even though I can get them for less at work lol). I got Beaker local raw honey and bee pollen to try for his allergies. What I was doing seemed to work for a while, but now he's starting to paw lick again :( I melted some coconut oil, mixed the honey in, and put it into a little ice cube tray. Honey apparently doesn't freeze, but the coconut oil should, which is why I mixed them. I also got him some chicken leg quarters because the ones I have make him throw up? No idea why.

Dixie's cue for 'go to your mat' is going to be 'hit the sack'. She knows "go to your bed"; which is go to her big dog bed/under my bed. But this is for a different object (something more portable XD) rather than her bed.

Does anyone else have fun/"different" cue words for tricks? What are they?

Oh yes. I'll say "Did you steal my wallet?" And Latte is trained to put her paw over her muzzle and look away guiltily. It's hilarious! I'll have to take a picture sometime.

"Dawn, you have power." Sky murmured, resting his tail gently over her shoulders " But it's you're choice whether you use it for good purpose or not." He mewed in a slightly more firm voice.

Wow I haven't been on here in so long- But working several jobs doesn't leave a lot of time for CS ^^; I'm still working at the boarding kennel- and I now do training for them for board and train dogs, as well as I have my own private clients for training and I am currently working with a very very dog aggressive Golden Retriever and it's going /wonderfully/ she's super smart :) I also teach dog agility classes now as a fill in instructor (puppy class and advanced handling!) which is super fun!

This weekend I had a very special visitor for four days- The lovely Joe Kerr came to stay with Charlie, Lucy, and I and took some stunning photos-

Also, Retirement from Agility is suiting Lucy just fine ;)
Throw those hooves right over my shoulders
Cause I seen the way you look at me, doefriend, when you smoulder
Come here, queer deer, and shake that thing around
Cause you get me so high that I gotta go down

Does anyone have any tips for teaching a curious puppy to not go up stairs! Its not good for her yet as shes not really old enough to be dashing upstairs since it'll hurt her joints when shes older, we currently have her downstairs on the wooden floors but she knows that theres cat food upstairs which she can eat if we're not around, also the cat isn't keen on her so I don't want her annoying him, (Old cat-Young dog, not good!) but also upstairs is all carpet and although she is clean most of the time, on wet days she does her very best not to go outside and with winter here at last the rain is pouring down fast, so she brings in the mud as well as the rain! So my mum doesn't want her dashing up the stairs and ruining the carpet, also to stop her going up the stairs we have a fold away table on its side blocking the way and if someone comes down the stairs or the cats sitting at the top she runs full speed ahead, and jumps up onto the table causing it to nearly and it has a few times, fall down, it fell on my foot the other day which left a very large bruise, I really don't want it to fall on Maisy! So all and any suggestions would be appreciated!

Put a baby gate at the bottom of the stair.

Our stairs are to wide to fit a baby gate
