I know. And pardon me for being brash, but I'm sick and tired of hearing that, because I already know it's not healthy. They're all fancy goldfish of different species, and I have been looking for tanks 20 gallons and up for them, since I have room. All of them are 1 or 2 inches at most. If I'd bought the tank from the beginning I would've only put two or three goldfish in the 29 gallon. However, I bought it from someone I knew who did not know what they're doing, and the tank was filthy and grimy and the fish were NOT being properly cared for. No, they still aren't being properly cared for now, no, but they are doing well and I am working on getting them new homes.

And I do understand that it's better to get some out of there immediately. However, the issue around here is that there are lots of people wanting fish but very few people who would take good care of them. I can't ship them, and while I'm more than happy to give them out for free, I can't in good consciousness give them to some beginner who may as well keep them in a 1 gallon bowl. I'm doing my best with what I have and I've owned goldfish since I can remember. I know how to take care of them and I'm NOT happy with keeping them in their current tank. However currently it's the only good option I have to ensure their safety.

Also, sorry for being touchy on this subject. I just hate being told what I already know, and I do feel guilty, yes.

Have you considered using large storage bins until you can get tanks? Rubbermaid/Sterilite/something similar? I used to have a pair in a 30 gal clear bin. As long as you get one with food-grade plastic they're completely safe. It's a great temporary solution and they're cheap.

I did not know that, no! I will definitely do that for a temporary solution! Thanks!

My guppies now live with my golden fish since they were a lot of guppies in 2 tanks so we had to move them in the golden fish tank which is bigger then their, the golden fish doesn't mind them and the guppies doesn't mind them, I notice the golden fish are more happy with them, they allow me to pet them more, I am glad my 2 golden fish are healthy and happy, hehe I love seeing those two best friend following each other. I don't know if they are female or males, We had them since they were small and they have grow bigger then my beta fish.

@Exterminate; I wasn't trying to offend you; I understand being told multiple times gets annoying. The storage bin idea is great and should hopefully help. Didn't mean to upset you.

@rockyno; Are either of your tanks heated? Goldfish and guppies shouldn't be kept together, as goldfish are cold water and guppies are tropical. Guppies are pretty tough, but that's not an ideal environment for them to be living in. If you're finding yourself overstocked due to them breeding, see if your local fish store will take them from you -- one near where I live will take guppies from me. Chain stores won't for the most part, but smaller stores might.

Sadly they don't take in fish anymore because of people giving them sick fish, we are going put a heater on the other side of the tank where the guppies stay, though they seem fine without the heater because , in the other tank one of them tank had heater and the other didn't for some reason the females one that were in the heater die a lot then the one who haven't been in the heater, only one die but that didn't cause from the heater, My golden fish doesn't eat them, they are very friendly, same with the guppies. I forgot how to tell the different between a female golden fish and male golden fish.

I think something is wrong with one of my bettas, Nona. Her belly is HUGE! I thought maybe it was overfeeding, so I cut back and put her on a strict schedule, it disappeared for a few days, but still on the schedule it has come back even larger. She's swimming around well, it's just concerning how big it is.
