None, betta fish should only be housed alone. You can get them a little snail buddy though ^^

Sōsuke does have a snail buddy named Smelly. He seems to enjoy Smelly. Thank you for replying. c:

In my opinion it depend on the beta fish, I have alot of guppies , we have 2 big tanks full with them and almost 3 bgger tanks, we had to put a lot with the golden fish and the guppies gave birth i am surprise they didn't eat the guppies, and we have 2 babys guppies in our beta fish tanks, he try to eat them but never could, it was him to kill or eat, we tho they die but it turn out they live and grew a little bigger, Though I don't really see the problem with having a fish in a beta fish ya they might get eated or hurt but my beta fish is tame, and the guppies dont come close to him and sometimes he doesn't bite them when he could, he just tent to stare at them or follow them but faster. anyways that my opinion please dont hate or anything...

You could put snail we had a snail in my beta fish tank but he would attack the snail many times. sadly that snail die of unknown reason

Edit : We took the baby guppies out because we didn't want king eatting their food and since they are alive we can move them to the guppies tank, hehe 1 one them went straight in the net, the other one didn't so king notice and swim to her making him go in the net ( Thanks King! How the heck did you read my mind though?)

Depending on the tank size(needs to be +10gal/40liter in most cases) and the betta's personality, they can go with various schooling/shoaling fishes, like tetras or rasboras for example. Only thing you need to watch out is species prone to fin nipping, which mean most barbs and few tetra species are not an option. Certain corries might be okay, but as most corries tend to prefer bit cooler temps than bettas and enjoy bit ore current in the water I don't think it a perfect match.

Why do you say that? I've been keeping bettas with tank mates for years. It comes down to the individual betta, IMO.

I mean it's do-able and does depend on the fish but betta's tend to be aggressive and seem to get stressed out fairly easily by other fish so ideally in my opinion they should be housed alone or with a snail/s.

I kinda of agree but when I had my snail my beta fish was stress out and wouldn't eat until I took the snail away he kept biting it and trying kill it, but when i put 2 babys guppies in the beta fish tank ( which i took out) he did attack them at first but he didn't get stress out he still ate food with the guppies, in my opinion I would say it really does depend on the beta fish some beta fish are fine with other fish and some might be.

Again I just think it comes down to the individual betta. They're all unique. Some I've owned can't even be housed with a single snail, others pay no attention to tetras, guppies, cories, rasboras, etc.

How many fish tanks do you have: I have one 10 gallon community tank and a smaller 2 1/2 tank that I only use in emergencies, but just today my mom found a perfectly good 40-50 gal by the dumpster, so that might be housing some fish as well once it gets all cleaned up.
Types of fish that you have: I have *takes a deep breath* One betta, three guppies (not fancy), four cory catfish, and four zebra danios.
Your fishs' names:
Zebra Danios: Splish, Splash, Droplet, and Dew. (And yes, I figured out how to tell them apart.)
Guppies: The Tequila Sunrise is named Flame, the blue tuxedo is named Tux, and the Blonde Delta is named Sushi.
Betta: My dark blue veil tail is named Golbie III. Why? Because when I was like four my parents got me a betta fish and I wanted to name it "Goldie" cause' that's what all the fish were called on TV, but they understood it as "Golbie" and the name stuck. Now I have a new one that looks the same, so I called him the same thing.
How long have you had fish: I have had the aforementioned betta who lived about three years, and I had another one for about two years, so in total I have kept fish for about five years and a half, even though the other betta's were poorly taken care of.
I will add pictures later.

Now, as for the discussion about keeping other fish with betta's. As other people have said, it really depends on the betta. As somebody who has had a betta in a community for a few months now I can say that It was very stressful, and I had a place to put him as I was introducing him and a net on standby. I also recommend putting the other fish in the tank first, as it helps them get used to their surroundings without a betta trying to figure out if they're food or not. I had my zebra danio's in first and they did fine when I put my betta in, in fact they were picking on the betta, not the other way around. When I introduced my guppies later my betta started being more aggressive though. It really depends, and I would suggest putting your betta next to other betta's in the store to check if he flares or acts aggressively before putting him in with other fish. I am a beginner fish keeper, so I would suggest getting other opinions first, as everyone's experience is different.

Can you tell your tank size, how it's stocked(+which fish is sick), what's your water change rutine and what are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels at the moment? If possible pic of the sick fish to make sure it's actually fin rot and not just ripped or nipped fins.
Fin rot is very often due poor water quality, so if you keep the water in tip top condition it should go away on it's own. But if you must medicate it; one possible medicine could be something called Myxazin by Waterlife(it doesn't kill filter bacteria like some other anti-bacteria medicine do, so it's pretty mild).
