Nice post. :) I really like the cat info addition. Do you work/volunteer at a wildlife rehab? We get a lot of backyard birds, but the person I volunteer with specializes in raptors, so we get a lot of hawks and owls (and falcons to a slightly lesser degree), too.

i used to when i was younger, though once i get a car i'll probably start it up again! i was pretty young when i was working at the place, and i was only there early summer, so i mostly dealt with fledgings brought in by concerned suburban families. the center does stuff with mammals, reptiles, and birds, with no specialty afaik, but there were always some raptors in the bunch, including the permanent residents that couldnt be released. i adore birds of prey tho, i imagine getting to work with them has to be super cool!

That's awesome! And yeah, the best part is test flying them before release. :P I've been out the past semester at a zoo internship (with reptiles/amphibians), so it's been awhile since I've done anything with birds. Hoping to get back to it soon once I have a routine schedule.
