When my brothers friends or my friends come over we all tell them to not pet our dog who has extreme anxiety and often lashes out if they still pet her and when she downs rarely lashs out because they are petting her, they start saying omg! She tried to attack me and I tell them That she doesn’t like to be petted by strangers and they say “but I come over here so much that she’s used to me”

When people think because my pet is a pitbull it’s automatically a dangerous dog

I HATE it when people (who by the way have never met my dog) get right in her face thinking she will kiss them not knowing she may actually bite them

when people pet my service dog and make noises at him to get my attention when his vest CLEARLY SAYS "SERVICE DOG. DO NOT PET." and after i tell them to stop they keep doing it. it endangers my life because he's distracted from his job.

Ooh I've got a whole list of questions people ask me about my corn snake
"does he have bones?" yes
"Does he have organs?" yes
"Does he poop?" yes, and it smells really bad
"Does he sleep?" yeah, he just doesn't have eyelids
"Does he have to drink water?" Yes, he's a living animal
"So what do you feed him?" Mice, and no, he can't eat crickets
"How do you know his gender?" No, but I can generally assume based on size. I won't get him sexed because it's a somewhat invasive procedure that a vet would have to do
"How many times has he bitten you?" Once, but that was my fault bc I smelled like rat and reached into his hide
"Is he gonna bite me?" No, he won't bite you unless you're a mouse. I wouldn't let you hold him if I thought he would bite anyone
"Are you ever worried he'll eat you?" no bc he's 4' long, he couldn't eat anything bigger than a fox squirrel

When people come over to my house and chase my cats around, or with my social butterfly Jade, pick her up and hold her desperate her clearing wanting down. Or they throw my cats. They don’t leave them alone, and I feel terrible for them.

I’ve had one of my friends poke my poor Parakeet with a stick before, because he wouldn’t step up and tried to bite them.

Common sense! He doesn’t know you, he’s not socialized. I warned you!
He actually started biting after that, but recently he’s calmed down and started trusting me again. He likes to ride on my shoulder

So a couple years ago, my cat that I had (she has since passed on due to medical issues 😞), had to be spayed. My uncle and cousin were living with us, and when she got back from her surgery, she had to stay in a kennel so she didn’t rip her stitches. My cousin was all like “aww, poor baby! Can I give her some food?!” I told him no. Because he wanted to feed her off his plate, and I don’t do that with my animals. It’s bad manners, cuz next thing you know, they’re snatching food from kids’ hands. I’m pretty sure he ended up sneaking her some though when I wasn’t looking. Because she’d never, EVER begged for food before, in the six years I’d had her before this, and about two weeks later, I was eating supper in front of the television, and she walked up, and tried snatching food off my plate. Which like I said, she wouldn’t have done that before. That’s one thing that bugs me.

Another is, my dog gets a really bad stomachache if she’s fed human food. She bloats up and gets icky feeling for a while, until she throws up all over the floor. I’ve told my family this. But they’ll still stick leftovers outside for them to eat. And more often than not, she’s the one that gorges on it. And then I have to pick up the puke, because “she’s my dog”. That’s not even really the part that bugs me, it’s the fact that they don’t seem to give a hoot about how much stomach pain it puts her through when they feed her the food. And I can’t control it, because I’m at work, which ticks me off even more.
