- Yeah. I sometimes put a bow in my Morkie's (Yorkie/Maltese mix) hair, but that's the closest I get to dressing her up. If she seems bothered by it or trying to pull it out, I take it off. >.<

Show-type and field-type Goldens seem to vary in coat type and a few other factors, and it seems like not many working Golden breeders do much, if any, conformation showing?

Personally, I think the only time it's acceptable to dress up a dog is if they are, for example, a Greyhound, or just a dog with a very short or hairless coat in general, and are going to be out in cold weather. Then, I suppose it's fine to have them them wear a sweater or a coat.
