Lyla is not merle. She's ticked.

A minute is probably too long for puppies and they'll get bored and go do something else.

I second everything Sara said.

I had considered that and with those points I think I agree, (I know I was the one who said it but xD). I was just told that though I couldn't remember by who, and in getting a new puppy thank you also for the advice as well about standing up and ignoring them is a good idea.
(Sorry for the bad advice<3 I was second guessing myself while posting it)

Ah, alright. I'm not entirely sure of dog coats; the only dog I've ever had is my pitbull mix, I've never researched about coats on her or any other breed. ^^'

---

Hmm, okay, thanks. Usually when we ignore them, they continue chewing us whether we look or touch them or not. If Missy is outside while the puppies are trying to bite us, she immediately nudges them away until they play with something else. We've tried just about everything we can think of, and nothing seems to distract them from biting us. Its a very difficult situation; and I'm not really fond of physical correction unless it hardly hurts them at all.

http://doggenetics.co.uk/merle.html <- Merle
http://doggenetics.co.uk/ticking.html <- Ticking and Roaning. Lyla is actually probably more roan.

I don't support physical correction even if it 'barely hurts' the dog. I've also seen a lot of things that are probably really painful and are claimed to be not painful at all soooo

Ah yes, Lyla definitely looks a lot more like a roan than a merle.

Yes, Missy had been hurt my physical correction as a puppy from other people, even when they claimed it didn't hurt.

So as ya'll know I am getting a new puppy,
we have 2 older dogs right now that don't take so well to other dogs. Any suggestions? My dog angel is the worse of the two but she would never seriously hurt another dog, I just hate seeing her arguing so to speak with most other dogs.

{ Lego looks so adorable! <3 I love corgis. }
How big are your two older dogs?
Missy got along terribly with other dogs (she'd lash right out at them anywhere anytime), especially dogs her size. We where surprised to find out she absolutely loved puppies! Our first 2 pups, Cosmo and Summer, where chihuahua mixes. We slowly introduced Missy to them outside, and at first she was very edgy, but she loved them quickly. To help get used to each other, we built a pen for the puppies so Missy could sniff them through the gate but not hurt them. A week later, she even had a phantom pregnancy! I'm not entirely sure how to properly introduce dogs, but that's how we managed Missy.

Angel (The worst one of the two) is a dachshund terrier mix but once cornered a chocolate lab (No clue how she does it). And the one who is just a little snappy cause he is old is a larger Shetland sheep dog.

Don't get another dog?
