@Hime Always great to hear Feykja updates! It's so awful that the barn drama resulted in someone leaving- that poor leaser!
@June Bug
Great to hear from you and Granix again! Hopefully all your pasture problems will get resolved without too much of a fuss.
@Banishment
It's most likely a TB or QH, if not, then maybe a warmblood (that's a BIG maybe) but it's more than likely a TB, QH, or mix of both.
@Food conversation
I've seen twizzlers enjoyed by horses, our horses like to try and eat fake plastic flowers from the jump fillers...I've used a package of spoons like they were treats for one of our wiggly horses, and ate horse treats (it was a while ago). Horses are weird, and that's okay.
@Kestrell
DA if you want it short and sweet, 007 or Bond might be a nice barn name too. Or even something completely unrelated that you like- show names don't have to relate to barn names.
@My riding
The weather yesterday was disgusting. It was ~90 (Fahrenheit) and everyone was absolutely ROASTING. Callahan, the horse K rides, was sweating inside with all the big fans on. He was getting tacked and was already covered in sweat. Everyone was sweating while grooming&tacking and it was truly awful. We didn't do a lot in the lesson yesterday, just a little bit of jumping at probably 1.5ft at the highest. I didn't want to ride anyone else anyways, due to the heat and the flies. I still desperately need an ear bonnet for Pete, and maybe polo wraps so then bugs will stay off his legs. On the bright side, we got to ride the new course yesterday, which was really fun, but unfortunately there were no straight lines, (which is unfortunate because I'm good at those) only weird bending lines.
Luckily I didn't have to teach yesterday, but I did have to run with park district and the 2:30 trot class, so I was dead after that. H and I changed into shorts but we were still disgustingly sweaty and gross. We also had to close up, but it meant helping wash the horses after they were all done, which was really nice.
Mostly everything was just gross, in short.
Hopefully I'll be heading to a tack shop soon to get some breeches (seriously, I only have 4 pairs right now and desperately need more) in either red, dark green, purple, grey, or brown (grey is my favorite option right now) as well as ear bonnet(s), a saddle pad or two, polo wraps if I can find some, and maybe a saddle that's actually mine, because the shop I usually go to is going out of business, so I'm trying a new one with consignment saddles.
Probably going to the barn today to help out and ride a little bit, hopefully the weather will be more bearable today.
There is no such thing as random, there is always a probability of something, no matter how small or unlikely, happening.
