(Or then she just got too hot and decided it would be nice to shed, or sweating maked her itchy and off goes the hair, who knows)
Lil bugger had also gotten her foot somehow into one of their water buckets the other day(it's was hang pretty high to prevent this, but apparently not high enough for her). Resulting the handle of the bucket coming half off and then I also noticed there was tiny crack on the bottom as well. Which of course made the bucket leak very unnoticeably and soaked their stall. >_< Just when I got it nice, dry and easy to clean... Luckily this time we are not out of bedding.

@Luzien: She still runs quite alot, but has toned it down a little. Mostly it seems like she wants someone running with her. Like when on the yard I move Heta she gets a running/bouncing fit even if she was just standing the moment before.
She has yet to come in contact with electric fence as we are short of paddocks that are baby proof. Luckily in the pasture she didn't even try testing the non-powered lines, so hoping she won't be an escapee artist like her big bro.

thats is also just darn cute,...that foal is really adorable :D
that she is already sheeding is funny, and that looks like a real dark coat under there, wow cant wait to see how she Looks after her first fur Change and when Baby fur is gone next year :)

thats nice that she calmed a Little bit^^ when she like someone to run and Play with and heta does not want...does the owner maybe own one or two nice young horse or other mare with foal that you can put together with heta and little Feykja?
so that she can play and then stay calmly with the other horse and heta can eat^^?

great that she did not try the fence, even when no power is on it...for now atleast  i really hope she does not get the idea to try at all ^^

dirty wet stall after cleaning....crazy foal ...destroying the bucket...maybe she wanted to drink, or cool down ;)
does she already try to drink water?

....but im not sure...please dont be angry or so with me now ;)
... i would not use a bucket, or bucket with handle with foal near, can you get a rubber tub for horses(Tubtrug Flexible 75L Extra Large-, or Faithfull BATH Plasterers Bath 4ft x 2ft x 1ft (found now on Amazon.co.uk)something like this we used in the old barn... put halfway in the stall halfway out, under the fence panel ...foal and adult bucket thrower ^^could not pull out easy to fill with water....)...in this the foal can stomp in or kick, and does not get hurt....some friend of the Family had a foal cut its leg lightly while it was Standing with the bucket around the leg, but i also would use them for adult(after some destroyed buckets and and some fur lost on the legs my parents changed it some years back for a big sturdy flexible tub and big tub something like this bath plasterer tub)but maybe the tubtrug would be bether with a wild little sweet like feykja so that it will give when she falls in it...but maybe only bucket work in there stall...sso maybe put it up with a chain or so so that she cant get it down?
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!

(apologies for the pic, it's scanned and I got dog fur in my scanner and messed it up)
New riding stuff!!
Got my polo from school (yea, it's kinda old. just something to wear at the barn)
got some lovely cream (stretchy as heck!) riding pants
and
for 20$ at JC Penney I got some nice boots (which look exactly like normal boots, so I decided to get them instead of spending another $140 for the ones I wanted)

YES.
I love horse riding, but I've had a rough time in the past. I stopped riding for two years after an accident, of which my favorite riding school pony was sold and then I was put on a horse that bolted a lot. So... bad times!
Anyway, I've now found a riding stables that I will continue riding at. My favorite horse is Precious, a piebald mare. She's quite the diva, but I love her. I rode yesterday, but I've lost my gloves, so my hands got really sore! Especially since I was riding a dappled grey mare called Mitzy who likes to throw her head a lot.

After a riding instructor saw me use my initiative and run up the stirrups (something that I learnt when I first started riding) she asked me to take Crystal to a stall and untack her. So I did it all - including getting my hands scratched up because the leather was really stiff - and then she recommended I join the Saturday Riding Club! So... I'm really excited :D

WHY DO I RIDE HORSES?

BECAUSE I LOOK AT MY HORSE, AND I SEE

MY HOPES AND MY DREAMS. I SEE MY

HAPPINESS. I SEE MY SUCCESS. I SEE MY

PRIDE AND MY SOUL. I LOOK IN A MIRROR

AND I SEE A PERSON. I LOOK AT MY HORSE

AND I SEE MYSELF.

@eventingg
Wow. Let's just hope the horses don't fart if you have a date at the barn!

@xXFalloutXx
Haha, it was the first time a horse had ever bolted with me on it's back, so it was sort of a shocker. But now, one of the horses I ride, will hardly move a muscle, let alone bolt. I think I'm safe for the moment XD

@Luzien: Well the plan is to have all the yards mare's on one pasture section, so that would mean close to 10 horses with the youngest being two 3 year olds. We were also trying to find another mare and foal pair to join them, but so far no luck. Hopefully the two 3 year olds are playfull and nice enough to keep Feykja happy.

I haven't actually seen her drink the water, but she plays alot with it... Probably how she got the bucket broken in first place, as she likes to paw when she doesn't get her way. -_-

Tubs could be a problem with her annoying pawing habbit unfortunately, and our walls are solid on the bottom. So she'd firstly get the water all dirty with her hooves and when empty enough she'd tip it over...^^; I actually have one small/medium Tubtrug-ish feed bucket, which she also managed to break already(one handle is half off). XD The buckets are hung up on the wall with leadropes, so she shouldn't be able to get tangled in them(now they are even higher, edge almost at my hip level actually, though I don't want to put them too high so that she couldn't learn to drink from them). The one she broke was actually still hanging on the rope, but the hangle was half off the bucket.
________________
Life with Feykja seems to be never boring. Friday evening I had time to finally turn them out in proper paddock with power on, as I finished the evening shift early. Feykja was super smart about the fencing and only twice tried it with her nose and got shocked. Then she was like nope, not touching that anymore. She could also run towards it full speed, but always slammed the brakes well before. Smart girl. c: Though when it was time to go in, she decided to be a brat and not follow nicely. She actually ran into every other possible direction, but the stable and Heta. >_< But on other hand while at it she went some nice fast tolt and nice trot. Even Tý took few months to figure out the trot gear, but seems like lil sis has it all already. ;) L also said the trot looked really nice, and I guess I have to believe a judge on this.
Then tomorrow, not so great day. When I came, I noticed Feykja had some pooping troubles and then worried over that pretty much the whole day as it was Saturday so pharmacies were closed already and couldn't get anything to really help her out. Tried out one thing I could think of... Then finally before the evening rounds she managed to push out the poop that she'd been working on the whole day. Huuuge relief, as I was pretty close calling a vet/dragging them to clinic as I did not want to leave her like that over night. Only reason's I could think is that either she'd been tasting Heta's hay little too much or is not drinking enough, which I really hope is not the case as that would mean Heta's not giving enough milk despite having her udder really large looking. So either way now we are trying to get them turned out in the pasture asap. The weather has cooled down too, so Feykja over heating is no longer big concern. Though the nights are now pretty chilly, so not sure if they are okay nights out.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

Hi, I believe I've never posted here, so I'd like to introduce myself, I am Banishment, but I go by bani. I ride and lease a beautiful mare and we walk, trot, canter, and jump 2'9 courses currently. I've been riding extremely on and off for 5 years and have switched barns five times but I think I've found my forever barn until college with Harlequin (Harley for short). Harley is a black/very dark bay of an unknown breed but is a bit on the sassy side but overall a great horse. In other news I am super excited to meet all of you!
I just wanted to give a brief description of myself so you all know me when I randomly pop in here c:
