@Soul of Winter
Congratulations! That sounds wonderful! Let us know how it goes and if you get pictures, feel free to share!
@RunningRace
In addition to stretching on the ground, do exercises to bend more. Circles, serpentines, etc, will all help. Do at least 2 circles each pace, ideally one circle at each end of the arena. Even when changing directions, do it on a circle so then you can bend more.
@sleepypony
Good to hear that Jack's doing okay and that your saddle search is going well!

Wow, gorgeous horses, thanks for the pictures!
@xChry.
That's unfortunate. Have you tried asking the seller for some of the money back? Unless they directly stated that the saddle was in such poor condition, they should be able to give you a refund.

Good combinations? Hmm, not sure what you're into color wise/what color your horse is (which can help determine what colors look good) but I'd say start with a neutral color (grey, white, black) then add another color that looks good on your horse. If you ever want to talk more about good colors, let me know, I love equestrian fashion/horse color coordination, so hopefully I can help you out!
@Mini debate
Thanks to all who have responded so far, it seems pretty unanimous that you all use the hard brush on your horse's legs if there's a lot of dirt. I'll keep this topic up for a couple more days then I'll post a new one. It's really interesting to hear all your opinions. To all who still want to respond but didn't see the topic, I was asking if you use the hard brush on your horse's legs when grooming, and if not, why?
@My equine lifestyle (it's no longer just riding at this point, haha)
-Teaching: I now teach 4 more lead line lessons. 0.0. They needed me to sub for someone yesterday for an 11:30 lesson (so basically, I have my lesson, then go straight to teaching) and afterwards, M told me I should just take over, considering those who usually teach that student tend to switch off or not be there, where as I'm there every week. On top of that, they have 3 lead lines Sunday that need to be taught, so I now will be going Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and teaching all 3 days. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to give up Thursdays fairly soon, due to schedule craziness that starts in two weeks and ends 4 weeks after that. But then it'll almost be summertime anyways.
-Riding: Rode Pete for my lesson and Gabby to exercise her. Pete was good, though I keep getting ahead or left behind. Watching the videos that I have of the lesson, I look awful when I get left behind. I feel myself getting left behind and I just throw my hands forward. It looks so bad. We did a whole course, but I trotted everything, because I'm still not comfortable with cantering Pete to jumps. I also have video of me cantering Gabby, so maybe I'll end up sharing that one. I think it's okay. My leg could be a little stronger, but it's overall okay.
-Working student stuff: We were looking for new stirrup leathers for a school horse saddle, and we found everything but the leathers. Oh well. We also had fun jumping all the jumps and seeing how high I could jump. It was so much fun. Unfortunately, our jumping time will have to end. We've got a new group of 18 park district kids coming in 2 weeks, which will once again consume almost all of our time.
There is no such thing as random, there is always a probability of something, no matter how small or unlikely, happening.
