....this Operation takes only 15-45mins. or so.normaly atleast when all goes well.
So ask an other, sometimes there is a small animal vet who did work with large animals but wanted to work with small only, who could do this normaly easyer Operation. or bring him in the animal clinic?
And with your parents there is an easy way, set up a contract with that they will pay all expenses when she is pregnant and after while it is still with her, and will take care of the Baby donkey after, maybe with a list of possible Money for the two years. That will clear there eyes...and its your Money as you did say, as Long as they dont pay, and offered to help like your dad with the building of a third stall, they have no say how you Keep your animals, and she is still a Baby a Young mare, that you can tell your mom, that is like if you got pregnant with 11 or 13ears....
not really the best and not healthy.
--> Do you have still Panels over from your roundpen, or can you take three of them (that is enough for a shelter stall when its direct in front(or at the side of the stable) of willows or Bucks stall...Bucks stall would be even bether)?
then you could build an easy Paddock bevor the stall of willow. and put a tent or so over as shelter, and for the pasture Problem, you could put him when she is outside with Buck, in the roundpen!!
or you could put a Panel in the stall so that both have half of it or the bigger one a bit larger part, and over the day he gets in the roundpen, so he cant break out....
----> he may cry, but that could help your case with your parents, when he did this for some days, and they did not get peace all day (you life there?) then they help you get him castrated and even build you more then one new stall
dont give her hormones or blocker or get her get castrated that is more hard on Mares or female Dogs and whatever then him loosing his bits^^
i wish you the best luck and that anything goes well, that she is not pregnant and you maybe can Keep them apart and find an other vet who find a Moment of his-her time to help....maybe cry a bit....sometimes it helps(when talking with vet or parent^^)
