Wow, when was the last time I posted again? ^^'
@HorseLover!: Pictures of the bonnet when it's done, pretty please? No clue what sort of fabric would be good though... Have never actually handled a bonnet in my life. o_o But something relatively thin(like cotton), unless you want a sound blocking one.
@Luzien: They mostly get breathing issues, like really heavy breathing and then caughing of course. Just staying inside can make them have some symptoms, especially if the hay isn't watered. Which sucks as 2 of the 3 dust sensitive have summer itch and stay inside a lot in summer(if outside they start stressing and running in the evening if not brought inside). :c Though now they have nice shelter outside, so maybe it's enough for the summer... Straw doesn't seem to be an issue, at least not when used outdoors in their shelter. Though must say, they straw L got is not very dusty, so that's a plus. ^^
I've also noticed horses are super smart when it comes to ice. Like Heta trusts me relatively well not to bring her on ground that is dangerous, but she also kinda tells me if the ground doesn't feel too good. Though sometimes when there's ice and water under it she tries to break it with her teeth, given the chance, in hopes of getting a drink.

I know one horse is super good at telling when lake's ice is thick enough to ride on.
lol I have the same issue when it comes to thinking how long I've ridden. So I was super glad when L got a clock on the arena.
@Vintage: Well, honestly nervous+nervous combo is pretty bad starting point... But seeing you've already jumped him a little, it's probably not as big issue as the previous owner made you believe. If he and you have no confidence, then you need to build it.

Slow and steady. If you haven't ridden in long time, then you'd probably want to focus on general flat work stuff before getting back to jumping. When you do feel like starting to jump, keep jumping just 50cm or less 'till you are dying to jump 60cm. I might suggest free jumping your horse, as that way you don't have to worry about your influence so much and also he can figure things out himself and gain confidence. Of course start low and go up as he get's hang of things.
@Icelandic WC in Herning: Ooooh, I so so so so so would like to go to Herning.

I'm actually seriously considering should I join as a volunteer as it would be cheaper and probably only way to attend(though mom said she'd pay the flights at least). Then there's the fact this year's show is organized by the Nordic coutries, so I feel slight obligation to go volunteer. But I'm also nervous about going alone, as I've never ever been aboard alone.

I'm sort of trying to see if anyone else would be going from here, so I could possibly tag along and we could maybe save some money by splitting the cost(like if we'd rent a car or housing).

So riding everyother day seems to be okay with the arm and it's been hurting little less I think. Except when Thursday, I lifted it somehow weird at home and it suddenly hurt really bad.

Then rest of the evening it would suddenly hurt for bit and then get better. Not the bone either, just shoulder joint or shoulder area muscle vise. Weird and stupid as Friday the weather was great(sunny), but it didn't feel good enough to ride.
Thursday I took a trail ride, which went pretty nice, though the ground was bit bad... Like weirdly at some parts where there's no water going there seemed to be hollow ice. So that was bit odd and even Heta was looking at her feet more than usual as the ice creaked little under her. I kinda hope it would cool down little more so the hollow ice area's would actually be more solid as now one of our main routes is so and so if it's rideable. : P Like if your horse is very unsure about ice and spooks if it's foot goes through, then it's not smart to go there. Never the less Heta seemed to like the trail ride and was snorting a lot and not sluggish at all. ^^ Though the brakes could have worked little better. And for some freaking reason I don't sit nice when out on trails, or then Heta is just so much bouncier out on trails as she's more speedier. >_< Oh and the weather was kinda what I'd call Iceland weather, really windy and snowed, but not very cold.
Rode today as well, since I skipped yesterday. Arena is now very nice and it's been snowing again so that's even better. Though it's barely below 0, so we'll see how it turns out. : P So arena day, worked on the brakes, with looooots of transitions. Honestly walk-halt goes pretty well, but then tolt-halt is not so good and more I let Heta tolt in between halts, the harder it is to stop her nicely and fast. Like she's leaning some and not giving. Blaah, switching to the other 3-piece for while again. Since last time we had this issue it helped some. Other than that, she was pretty nice in tolt. I think we actually got some cleaner steps once and actually some trotty tolt(which is sort of bad, but any differance to the usual pacey tolt is good imo).

After all that tolt work I let her canter some and oh my my. Amazing. Simple as that. Right at least. Left was not bad and we got correct lead I think, but still room for improvement. I also tried out some walk-canter transitions to right and they went really well(no trot/tolt steps). Very proud of my pony. <3 Pony seemed quite happy too, though bit tired maybe.
She has also already lost little weight as the girth went one hole tighter.

And we've also got couple new boarders in short time, I don't think I've mentioned. Two geldings last year(one new person, one just brought her 3rd horse to the same stable as her other 2). Newest additions arrived yesterday. 2 mares, who went to the same paddock as Heta and the others. L said things were peacefull and the two mares seems very nice, even if they aren't Icelandics. The best part of the mares is that their owner, who massages horses, and dogs. ;D The mares came to say hi to me today when I went to get Heta. Sweet things I think, but Heta doesn't seem to like them much. lol Actually when I took her back to the paddock, after little while one of the fillies came to bug her and the other filly and the big girls were standing nearby. Then Heta got fed up with the one filly and tried to run away from her, which of course got rest 3 run after her. XD She escaped them and looked soooo grumpy at the hay bale, with fillies in tow sadly. I think the fillies have been hanging on her rug with their teeth, as there's one part missing and other is hanging loose... So I have some rug patching to do. : P
And it's actually really snowing now, so yay!
