Please snip if quoting - big pics ahead, sorry.
And please ignore the mess... my boys don't know how to eat berries without making pigs of themselves XD

I've had them just under 2 months now and in that time they've grown massive... at least compared to what they used to be. Last I heard 300 - 330g isn't that big for male.

They've all developed such little personalities as well, and although the taming process is going slowly, they're doing so well. My boys have always enjoyed in-cage interaction with me (whenever they see me they rush to the door for treats and kisses) although they usually dislike being touched, handled, etc. But last night three of them voluntarily jumped onto my hand and crawled up my arm before scuttling back to the cage.
Even so, I'm so proud of all the progress they've made, especially considering how they started out <3

My rat Delta died before her vet visit, it was just too late for me to get her taken up there. She died before the soonest visit we could make

eep! We got a skinny pig in at work! He's so cute :P very young too I'm thinking.. probably only a few weeks old.

Does anyone know tips of taming a rat that bites?

She's actually doing a lot better today! Only nibbled on me and actually licked my fingers! YAY :P

wow it's been forever since i've been on this thread
uh, i doubt anyone remembers but i do still have my hairless boy who's about two years now and still doing good, but we just got two rex boys today (himalayan and what im assuming is fawn right now? im not really sure about that one actually, i can tell better once they molt again and are a bit more handelable)

but we just got a huge cage that i spent forever trying to put together and clean thoroughly, so i wanna trick it out, so suggestions?
can someone also show me how they attach their fleece in their dcns? ive heard of clips and stuff but im not sure how to do it? i already have fleece in there but its just sitting on the bottom, i need to get more anyway for hammocks and cubbies and the like too...
also what kind of litter boxes are good for rats and what should i put in it? since i dont think i can get away with not having one in this cage...

i think that's all i have for right now, but thanks in advance for any answers.

For fleece I've only ever seen people use binder clips, but I'm sure there's other was that are just as good(: ( in the picture she just took off those metal things on the binder clip and left only the plastic, and just shoved on over the plastic bottom and the fleece.

I love cages that look like this and this, but obviously it may take you a lot of time to be able to buy all of that to make it look so good. I say just get cool toys, fleece, and anything you can think of(:

For my rats I use a corner litter box, but really any litter box on the market is good. The corner one is great because it doesn't take p as much space as a full square. Also, for bedding I put aspen shavings in there and they seem to be indifferent about it lol. Just don't use clumping cat litter! :P
