@voodoo - I had to stop myself from squealing, they're so adorable! <3

Also, I don't know if anyone else has linked it here or not, but thefunmouse.com [both the site itself and the forums] seem like a really nice site. I'm Desmond Miles on the forum, so if you see me around... x)

Ohh, I've been meaning to ask you a question, darkvoodoo. This is probably pretty random, but when you get male rats, do they usually conform to the whole "Male rats are lazy; female rats are hyper" stereotype? I'm asking because I'm hoping to get some squishy males after my girls pass on and I don't want to be disappointed if they wind up hyper as well. <3

For the most part they tend to stay within the stereotype. Usually even my active males are pretty lazy, lol.
If you get from a breeder, they can usually tell you who tends to be more laid back, etc. Otherwise just watch them for a bit to see how they act.

Yep! I wouldn't overdo it, but that can be added into the diet in smaller portions. (: they would love it!!

Little update from me:
Louise, the baby rattie I posted a few pages back is doing SO much better. I don't think I mentioned her past owner, but she was abused , thrown, neglected to feed and water, and starving/ on the verge of death. I rescued her and got her lab blocks, 2 hides, a little tunnel, water, toys, a FRIEND!! and a wheel and let me tell you she is so energetic now! The first night we had her she barely moved and would be very aggressive when I tried to hold her, but now she rarely bites, runs around her cage, eats readily, loves veggies, and plays with her friend really well now! They're both about 2 months old, and super tiny and cute(: Louise and Lottie ( yep that's their names XD ) are BFF's now and sleep cuddled together <3

Any tips on how to keep a mouse cool?
Brazil has a fan on her, and a frozen rag but I feel like she is still hot inside her cage.

Got a small question... what kind of plastics are safe for mice/aren't? I want to make an Animus for when Desmond is here, but I don't know if I would be able to use plastic in it along with fleece, popsicle sticks, and hot glue.

Also, is it safe to dye popsicle sticks with food dye + water?
