Does anyone have any opinions on if I should go all out and get a wodent wheel for my syrian or if I could cut corners and be alright with comfort wheel? The noise factor is very important to me~

I used a Wodent Wheel but it rusted and started squeaking loudly, but I have never used a comfort wheel, so I don't know. In addition, it may have just been me having issues with the wheel.

Wodent wheels are pretty fab. I'd go for one over a comfort wheel. My comfort wheel is noisy, and it's apparently quieter than a lot of others. However, a wodent wheel will need hacking too to make it run smoothly and quietly. I put teflon tape on the spindle, and I mount mine upside down to help reduce noise.

My favourite wheel, if you're willing to splurge, is the Carolina Storm Express wheel, which actually is 100% silent. With 10 hamsters in the house, it gets nutty if they're noisy, so I have four of those wheels, three wodent wheels (more in storage), and three silent spinners of various sizes. The 12'' silent spinner is also anything but silent and is right now my noisiest wheel.

    I guess I got lucky with my comfort wheel? Mine is only noisy when Motley knocks it over and it hits the sides of the cage.

    @spiderfish
    What size tank did you want for the mice? X3 I have two girls in a 40 gallon tank at the moment.

Thanks to everyone who replied. @Hekomi your bubbles are adorable and I love them so much give me them I definitely like the look of the Carolina Storm Express after looking into it (though not so much the bucket) and I'm surprised I hadn't seen it sooner comparing how good the reviews are! By the videos I looked out daaang is that a quiet wheel! I might guiltily go for it, though I haven't looked at the shipping yet and I'd imagine it would be a lot as I live in the UK, so that's the only thing I'm wary of - but I'm pretty convinced it will be money well spent.

The comfort wheel is now pretty far down my list and I think I'd probably go Wodent Wheel over Silent Spinner even though it might need some tweaking but I'll probably decide for good once I find and finalize an aquarium to buy (gosh darn are they hard to find at a decent price ANYWHERE in the UK uggg).

Thanks again for the help from me and Lazarus (I'll find pics sometime lol it's been a while) <3.

I think the price point + steep shipping means not many people know about it. Seriously, it's awesome. I'm in Canada, and I think it's $19 for the wheel and then $21 for shipping... which makes me cringe. I have four of them, and honestly, it IS money well spent and I love them. Especially since they're large and can fit in even shorter cages because they're not excessively tall on the lowest setting.

My partner wants to figure out how to make our own to avoid the shipping costs. I imagine you could find a smaller bucket too, and do that.

No goldens, 3x black tort, 2x melanistic yellow, 1x ghost melanistic yellow. The two mellow yellows as I call them are kinda small though. I think they might just be "normal" but their siblings are massive (I expected nothing less from FattyMcArya) so I'm keeping a keen eye. They're cute as can be though and while I'm super against handling before eyes opened, I had my hand down for Arya to climb down and one of the black torts climbed on and then snuggled up in my palm. So. Adorable. Arya didn't bat one eye though, and went about her business, leaving her Mini-me to snuggle.
