THIS is why I hate feeder breeders. Someone is harassing me through PM on FB sending me pictures of him graphically killing rats and telling me they're glad Indie died and they hope all my rats die. Never join the group Rat Breeders, that group is sick and disgusting.

In real life I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, 26 rats, 2 gerbils, 2 cockroaches, 1 turtle, 1 axolotl, and 8 fish.

Just for reference, but just about all pet store cages are actually too small for guinea pigs. 2 guinea pigs need a minimum of 7.5 square feet of space on a single level, bigger is much more preferred though.

They were picking on all pet breeders in that group, luckily someone got the admins to ban them.

I am happy to say, I just got a hamster on Friday. In the summer I am going to build a HUGE cage (HoppingHammy's DIY cage) for him (his name is Pepper), and he is going to be so happy! ∩(︶▽︶)∩

Guys, they have 6.5 square feet of cage space and a permanently set up play pen (like a C&C cage kinda) which atleast doubles that. So, yes it is an appropriate amount of space.

Before you go judging people and the way they care for there animals, learn the whole story. If I didn't have enough space, I wouldn't have gotten them. End of.

I keep mice in that sized cage, they need at least 2ftx4ft for a pair of guineas and that cage is barely 2ft x 3ft

I wouldnt judge a cage just by the pictures. It could have an extension to it. So what?

Like I have already said they have an extension(the play pen), which atleast DOUBLES the size of the cage.

It is approximately 13-15 squared feet all together.

Quick question I'd like an many answers to as possible!

If you had to pick RIGHT NOW between mice or hamsters, which would you instinctively choose?
WITHOUT taking into account prior experience with either species.
