Yeah, Ive found them on ebay too. I just order from cageworld though.
I actually had that cage for QT, but I let someone borrow it and havent seen it since :(

The only down fall about the cages I use, is the shallow litter pan :( Its on tile floor so its easy to clean though.
This is what I use:http://stores.cageworld.com/sugar-glider-rat-chinchilla-small-animal-cage-2493s/

The only thing I hate about my cage is the door size. It's really hard to fit large objects through. The top is supposed to open but I didn't like the way it shut so I just zip tied the thing closed. Since the DCN has those large doors, fitting those type of toys in would be easier, not to mention larger. The only thing I take to the bathroom to spray down is the tray, plastic toys, and shelves/ladders. The rest of the cage I just use a sponge and wipe it down.

Haha, earlier my mom told me to get a shelving unit so I could save space in my room. It was hilarious when I told her I wanted to get a floor cage. It wasn't like the shelf would really help matters anyway...

Yeah, the door is a bit small, but I always made it work.
I sponge clean weekly (spot clean weekly) but once a month or so, I like to put the whole thing in the shower and really spay it down.

If I had the cages in my room, my husband would go nuts, lol. So the small critters have their own room.

We don't have an extra room in the house (if we did, I'd probably have a lot more critters than I do). Although, I don't want to have as many as I do again. At least not for a long time.

It was stupid but it's been done and im hoping that they don't get anything! Some of the rats in that room... We're very sick...

Do you know what those rats had?

No, I know a few had tumours, and one had bloody eyes and nose. I didn't go into the cage with the bloody rat but I did go into the cages with the ones who had tumours.

It was more likely red pigment (porphyrins), not actual blood. High levels of porphyrins usually indicates an upper respiratory infection, or some other illness. That could be contagious, but the tumors are not. Just keep a close eye on your ratties, and next time make sure to change clothing and wash thoroughly ;)

Well, the eyes were closed shut with this crusty black stuff, which me and my coworker assumed was dried blood, it wasn't actually red at all.The black stuff was coming out the eyes and nose.

I usually do change everything after work- dunno why I forgot this time.

What cuties! Ugh, now I'm starting to want a pair of pigs XD I used to be afraid of them, but these floofs are so cute!

I like the names Ronan, Diesel, Atticus, and Maximus, personally :) I love the semi-long hair! He's so regal looking, haha!

Oh, huh. I know my two older boys got small black flecks around their eyes when I first brought them home, pretty sure it was from the pigment, though (I did bring them to the vet anyways, but they checked out just fine). Well, since you didn't have contact with them, then hopefully all is well!
Reality is subjective.

Yeah, these weren't small black flecks... These were... Taking up the entire eye space and dripping halfway down the nose.
But i agree! Since I didn't touch them, im hoping it's all good and well!
