(I know a lot, but this is something I've never experienced) My young rats, Cear, Osiris, and Joker all shake when I hold them, Joker seems terrified of being held sometimes. Thing is, I've been holding them every day, about an hour and a half each, since the day after they were born. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I give them treats when I've got them out in hopes it helps them trust me.

It's amazing how much they change within such a short time frame! The pups
already have fur! What gorgeous little ones they are too! I'm so happy with
my first litter! I've still gotta finalize the genders (as that is pretty difficult for
me) and then me and my friend can decide which ones to keep. I think the
brindle pup is a male, which I was kinda bummed about, but even though I really
don't want another male I think I'm gonna keep him. And I'll probably keep some
does too. I can tell that Joon is starting to get lonely being all by herself now
So when the pups are weaned I'd love to put 1-2 with her to keep her company.
I feel really bad for her. I was at the pet store today and was seriously thinking
about buying another mouse just for her but I realized that by the time the mouse
was out of quarantine, the pups would be weaned anyway. So she'll have to wait.
Anyway, the babies are nothing but wiggle worms now and it's super hard to get a
good look at them to see their gender XD
