Ohai I just found this c:
I used to have 3 Dwarf Hamsters! I was young when I had them and they were so cute :33 The first one I had was like my best friend ever. We got him because his old owner had cants and he was kinda traumatized... So when I first got him he nearly bit my finger off. )':... After a while, we bonded and he would only come out of his little house if it was me, so cute!! If my brothers or mom woke him up, he would look outside and crawl back inside unless I was there <333 I loved him so much :3 His name was Teddy.

The second two I got as pairs, but my brother convinced my mom to get those two because he would take care of one. He didn't of course and they never really bonded with me like Teddy did... :c

I love Chinchillas, though and I hope I can get one one day~

Ahh this thread makes me miss my childhood babies so much ;w;

We had two female sister long haired Syrian Hamsters with lovely temperaments when I was like...10. They lived just under 4 years, and died within a week and a half of each other, which was shocking because they were from an SPCA, but we did get them as itty bitty babies. My mother got them as a reward for my sister and I getting our ears pierced (We didn't want to get it done, she did, she bribed us with baby hamsters).

We didn't know at the time, but we kept them caged together. It was actually 4 very decent sized "Pet store" cages with tubes connecting them. They also came out and got to spend time running around in a large cardboard box maze-thing we made and used to switch up the routes all the time and hide tasty snacks in for them.

I wish we had known at the time you weren't supposed to house hammies together, or I never would have put them at that risk. ;w; We seemed to luck out however, since we never had a problem and they actually really enjoyed snuggling together every night and although they had lots of space to separate, they always hung out together in the same area. IF i ever got hammies again in the future (I've considered it, but I'd probably get Dumbo Rats instead, I love me them dumbos <3 ) I'd never take the risk again.

They were such lovely lil gals. Mishmash belonged to my sister and kinda looked like this [x] Houdini belonged to me and she sorta looked like this [x]

Other than housing them together, we took very good care of them. They were my little babies, and the first pets to strictly be my responsibility and I took it /super/ seriously. Obviously I went right somewhere because they had a decent lifespan, I think.

It's lovely seeing everyone elses rodents, especially the other lovely Syrians :'D

I'll be stalking from now on for sure!
Throw those hooves right over my shoulders
Cause I seen the way you look at me, doefriend, when you smoulder
Come here, queer deer, and shake that thing around
Cause you get me so high that I gotta go down

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while. The babies have found homes. I got to keep three of them instead of two ^^

This is everyone after their baths. Its first baths for the little ones, Sparta and Otis have had baths before. Lol, kind of happy with this one, caught Cear (my little whitie) in mid shake behind Otis.

Better shot of Cear, I love how the turned out <3

I would recommend getting two as rats are social little critters. They are also very active at night, so with another rat around you don't have to stay up and party with them.

Whee! The babies are four days old now (date of their birth is day 0 the way I count).

This means:
- Their ears are beginning to develop
- Their eyes are beginning to protrude from the skull, to become real eyes and not black dots
- Their teeth are starting to come in
- Small tufts of fur are appearing

I have pictures!

They're SO PRECIOUS. You can start seeing the little fuzz, teeth, ears and whiskers. xx I love the second picture where it looks like the one baby is yawning. I can't wait until their coats come in. :)
