In real life I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, 26 rats, 2 gerbils, 2 cockroaches, 1 turtle, 1 axolotl, and 8 fish.

Thrift stores! Seriously. Before dropping 100's of dollars on a pair of skates (.. Mine were 250.. Granted I refused to settle on quality and roller skating is mah thang) check out local thrift stores. I found an awesome pair of basic street quads for $5 after tax. I used them until they were falling apart. xD Then a actually BOUGHT a pair. Mwahahaha. A friend found herself a really really nice pair of inline/blades for dirt cheap and she still has them.

Also, if you're completely new to skating, try both. They feel COMPLETELY different, inlines are pure ankle torture, whereas quads are more thigh-fuelled. I absolutely can not find my balance on inlines, as a kid I had no trouble but then switched over to quads and never looked back. Quads, though, will rub your ankles completely raw, same as all your toes. Inlines will rub your shins to the bones. Its all a matter of what you choose to deal with; the backs of my ankles are like leather for years and years of skate rubbing, even with doubles socks and properly fitted skates. xD Oh, and, a lot of local skating rings offer lessons for dirt cheap! :D~!

I'm sure kiba would love it! Running and pulling is great fun. xD I'm actually a bit excited, I'll be asking for a new pair of quads or the modification set I'll need for my birthday. Also gonna have to buy an x-back harness that fits Juniper. D:<
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

I'm definitely new to skating lol. Unless the Hello Kitty skates I had when I was 5 that I couldn't even stand in count xD
Kiba would definitely love it. I'm scared my other dogs would cause me to fall lol.
I'm definitely gonna try it out now when it stops being freezing outside. I will have no idea what I'm doing though so I'm gonna make my friend hold onto my arm so I don't die xD

I was also thinking about getting like a little kid's skateboard and teaching Kiba to push herself on it or I could tie a string to it and pull it and have her stand on it. That'd be so cool x3

Yer mine were just the regular blades
I learnt in blades then tried skates, blades are definitely my thing
I used to skate everywhere all the time
I also picked skating as my rec sport for school so much fun!
I haven't skated for years though :(
Now I'm really tempted to try with Benji and Scoob
But Scooby gets easily distracted on walks, especially if theres another dog so I could imagine him pulling me over lol

I'll just say this; it's pretty clear what that implies. Sense our dogs aren't perfect, because our dogs have dog aggression or same sex aggression or fear aggression etc. we're not right. Maybe you didn't mean it to come across that way, but it did. I am not putting words in your mouth.

Now, good night and keep believing whatever you want. :) No point repeating myself anymore.

I'm just saying that I must be doing something right, I cannot be all wrong and it shows in my dogs.
I'm nt saying m digs are perfect or flawless or better than everyone, I'm just stating facts and that fact being that they aren't aggressive. Marty's still stupid and obnoxious like he has been since I got him, but at least he is not aggressive.

And apparently, everyone else is 'doing something wrong' because our dogs have aggression issues? Like we've said many, many, many times before, not all aggression can be 'fixed'. Whether because it's too deeply ingrained or because of genetics or because attempting to 'fix' it would cause more stress then it is worth (particularly prevalent in dogs like Lolita), you can sometimes only manage the dog. Once again, it's not fun for anyone and especially not for the dog. It's not easy to deal with. But when you commit to a dog, you commit to it. Don't you think I wouldn't rather be able to walk Clemmy nicely past other dogs? I don't even give a rat's butt if Clemmy can meet other dogs but it would be nice if she didn't nearly yank my arm out of the socket EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. she sees another dog on walks. I've tried everything to get her to stop doing it short of putting a choke or prong collar on her or otherwise yanking at her neck, which I absolutely refuse to do.

Don't you think I would 'fix' Lolita's aggression if I thought I could without causing her an undue amount of stress? At this point in Lolita's life, all I can due for her is try to keep her stress to a minimum and try to get her to lose some weight. I can't fix her leg for her, I can't help her pain from her arthritis anymore then we're already trying, I can't make her ears work again, I can't erase the cataracts from her eyes, I can't make her organs new again, I can't help her immune system. I can't do anything for this dog except keep her stress down and try to get her to lose weight. I mean, god, this is making me cry and I have to go babysit a two year old in an hour. I can't DO anything more for her then we're already doing and it's not enough. I would take all that pain for her in a heartbeat, I'd turn back the clock to a time when I was personally going through hell so she could be my young, spunky mutt again. She may not be my 'heart dog' but I would do all those things for her if I could. But I can't. All I can do try to make her last few weeks, months, years the best I possibly can.

Lol wot?
So obviously people do think yellow, black and chocolate labs are different breeds

I believe animals like that are created when two embryos at an early stage happen to merge. In this case, it would be the embryo of a black and the embryo of a yellow pup that have merged. So the dog would actually have two different sets of genes in the same body (it is its own "twin").

I have a question for you Saracirce. Did Lolita jut become this way in old age? Because from the way you talk about it, it seems that way or that you just starting trying to fix it when she became old.

I read up a bit on it, it's caused by a division of cells. I'm assuming that means the cells divide into a yellow coat color and a black coat color? I'm not completely sure.

Srsly? I've mentioned several times that she started showing signs as soon as we got her at 8 weeks. And excuse me for being a 11 year old who knew nothing of dogs or training. Thethings did do made her wworse but at least I was wise enough to stop. By the time I learned better (about two years ago) she was already old and making her trek downhill.

This is why a lot of us react as though you are always saying we're wrong and doing everything wrong and you're perfect and since your dogs don't act like that your dogs are perfect.

You still have not answered my question. What makes you right and all of those people with mountains more experience wrong? I'm not talking me at this poin- I'm talking MalfoyQueen and Link. I'm talking the dozens of akita sources written by breeders, rescues, clubs, professionals and people who have been in the hobby for longer than you've been alive. How do you justify calling them wrong?

Have you missed that I own and love BSL breeds; pitties, chows, german shepherds, dobes, to name just a few? That I fight for them every day, and experience the result of all of their reputations, and fight to keep them safe from people's misperceptions and fears? That maybe I do know what it's like to own BSL breeds?

Jaz- Honestly I'd love to go into the discussions of Japanese spitz and all their nuances. And by that I'm not talking just Akitas or even Shibas for that matter, I mean all Japanese spitz. But it seems that anytime I post, including my last post which was COMPLETELY ignored, my points never make it through to Fuzzy.

I've been into Japanese spitz (including looking at American lines of Akitas) for YEARS now. Talking with breeders, researching lines/faults/issues with the breeds/etc. I looked at Wolfgang's breeder and I was honestly revolted at what I saw. Those were just awful looking dogs, even for American lines. Seems that my advice won't be heeded until it's too late. Once that Akita reaches a year to a little over a year old, changes are going to happen in that dog. It's inevitable. Doesn't mean that he's going to become a monster, but he will have some behavioral changes that, if no advice is heeded about the breed and taken into account that behavioral issues MAY occur, he's going to have some problems adjusting once he matures.

Whatever. Not my dog, not my problem. I have a spitz that was raised properly from a puppy and still ended up with behavioral issues that we had to work on. Doesn't make other people special.
"But Link, when all of this is over...will you come wake me up?"
