Similar thing happened to me, except Chewie really did have burnt paws. Princess then started limping around like her paws were just killing her even though she hadnt been in a position to hurt them. She just wanted attention since Chew was getting it. Goofy dog!

I have two dogs, Max and Keira. Max is a two year old purebred white german shepherd, and he's really sweet and submissive. He was the runt of his litter which we think might contribute to this since he was always pushed around by his larger siblings. x) Keira is a five year old yokeranian, and is exactly 3/4 pomeranian and 1/4 yorkie. Her father was a purebred pomeranian and her mother was half yorkie, half pomeranian, and her parents were both purebred. She's a little grouchy but she loves attention and playing tug-of-war!

I would try to stress the hazard of an ear infection to your parents. Gather vet articles to back you up. Dogs have been known to lose their hearing from ear infections and they're also painful.

UGH. So I was saving up to get my dog Poker neutered for a while now, and I finally had the 300 dollars. My sister and several family members and friends kept urging me to just take him to one of those places that does it real cheap, like for ten dollars, but I kept saying that I definitely wouldn't accept someone doing surgery on me for that cheap, so why would I do so for my dog? I mean, you pay for what you get, you know?

Anyway, so one of my tires was about to blow out and the treds on all of them were super shallow, so I had to get all four new tires. Which, even with my dad's rebates, equals 320 dollars. So like...

So like all that money I had been saving up to get my dog neutered is now gone. And I have to start all over. But I mean, the check engine light in my car is also on, and it is doing really funny things that need attention. And I have to get my lap top fixed for school. And I have to pay for school.

And it hit me again like a freight train today: I cannot afford my dogs.

It kills me inside every time I see someone suggesting choke chains or prong collars for heavy pullers. One of my Facebook friends asked for advice about their 8 month old large breed dog who is pulling so hard on a choke chain that he's rubbing his neck raw. Someone suggested a prong collar which, honestly, if he's rubbing himself raw on a choke chain, he's not gonna be deterred by a prong. Just, ugh.

I went ahead and suggested a front clip harness, a head halter and using the tree method but she told me that they'd heard head halters cause neck injuries -facepalm- And now people are suggesting martingales. Just kill me now.

Meh, neutering isn't a 'must' like a lot of people make it out to be, responsible pet ownership is. He wont explode into flames if you put it off longer. Or, really, you can opt for a cheaper neuter.. 300 is rather outrageous. Neuters are routine, vets do them day in and day out. They aren't even an invasive surgery like a spay. While ever surgery has its potential risks, a neuter is easy peasy lemon squeasy, no matter who performs it.

Just came back from puppy socialization classes today! LOTS of fun for Piper! Met a new best friend called Sadie, which we believe is a Belgian Malinois, but we aren't sure. And there was a golden retriever named Buddy there too, but she didn't like Buddy cause he was 4 months old. Too big for her.

Oh, I just really want it done. I have noticed that the male dogs in my neighborhood that are neutered do not tend to attack other dogs, nor do they get attacked as often by in tact males. And since many dogs die of cancer I wanted to take one of those cancers off the table O.O

And the actual surgery is like.. 200? But there is testing beforehand that is optional that sounded important to me. IDK, I guess I could get it done cheaper. I just... IDK. I'm scared to DX
