:( today I have to groom a dog who's one owner INSISTS on being in the room during his groom. I HATE it. His wife has let me do it on my own and the dog is FINE. The husband is convinced "there is no way to do it" without him. He believes the dog was abused as a puppy, having met the dog and owner I think it's biggest problem is that it's spoiled rotten and untrained. With this guy in the room, what would normally be a quick one hour groom is a three hour ordeal. I am hoping and praying that I can convince the vet to tell him no because he won't take no as an answer from me. With him there the dog is constantly grappling onto him wanting to be held. He complaines that his back hurts and it's "taking too long" ahhhh......LEAVE AND I'LL BE DONE IN FIFTEEN SECONDS! *grumbles and leaves for work*

EDIT
I need training tips on getting her to come when there's a distraction (such as a dog, a person, a squirrel, ect.) It's getting better but its not reliable and I have to keep her on leash at the park across the lake ( she loves it, there's the lake, trees, forest trails, and a sandy volley ball area where she loves to dig, but I fill in her holes she makes so no one trips)
Oh that reminds me, I need to get a 20ft lead

Have to tried an emergency recall word? If you haven't heard of it, an e-recall is a specific word such as, "snack" "treat", "cookie" anything really, that means to the dogs treats will rain from heaven if I come back to mommy! You build up the word just as you would for a clicker. If you would rather not use a word, a whistle (like one a coach would use) works.

Let us know how the treat bag works out! I'd love to know how you made it. c:
I've been using either my pocket or a plastic cup.
    Btw, Tally is adorable.

If the weather hold out and my bf decides to get up (never gonna happen.. xD) we may go to the park with my daughter and Juniper. :D

Juniper is one of the most intrusive dogs in the car when she's hot. She knows where the cold air comes from and practically shoves herself between the seats for it. e.e Need to buy a big van/truck so she can have her own air vents in the back! LOL.

I'll tell you how it turns out when I finish it and probably post a pic, right now, I need to dig out the sewing supplies >.>

Thanks : ) I got her from a friend when she was 6 months old as a birthday present. My friend was moving and it cost 100$ per pet to stay at their house or something so the got rid of their Cat and Tally (which was her name with them to) But kept their border collie lab mix.
Gladly she was well socialized with a baby, a cat, and a dog, in that family so she likes nice cats, likes babies, and is nice to dogs that aren't small and yappy (like her >.>)

I want to train her to use a whistle but I lost mine, but I may gt one soon. I do have a emergency word, "Tally want a treat?" As I shake the box/bag of treats, or if I don't have the box or bag of them I take one out of my pocket (where I hold them usually) and show it to her.
But I don't use it often cause at the house she comes back 8-10 times, but at the park, 4-10 times (Cause apparently other dogs are much better than a snack and lots of praise :-p)
Hey sorry I haven't been on. Busy lately, I don't use my computer much anymore anyways

And back from the park. :D Had a blasty blast. Juniper adored rooting through the grass that was higher than she was. She kept catching the scent of random small furries and her ruff would shoot up.. and she'd start slobbering everywhere. Le sigh. That prey drive. xD

Was the first time its actually been warm enough for more than just wading. I drug her in and made her swim. xD First time ever swimming and she didn't freak the heck out, just kind of mellowly swam back to shore with no crazy flailing like Lucky does. LOL. I'm cruel. My daughter would throw pebbles and Juniper would go snorkling for them like an idiot, come up spuddering and snorting water.

It was actually a load of fun, I'm glad we went. The water is actually warm enough for swimming so within the next couple of weeks.. RIVER HERE WE COME! For some actual swimming. Woo! <3

Look who I picked up today <3 Been interested in him for over a week, and after he did a meet and greet with Rylee he came home. Sleeped nearly the entire ride, but now he's not sleepy anymore >.>

He's a supposed Aussie mix. Not sure what other breeds though. They said husky, which may be true... Though not sure what his color is from. Been thinking golden. My favorite thing about him, personality aside, is his heterochromia as well as the white tipped tail.. I've always been a sucker for white paws, white tail tips, etc.

Going to be fun training this guy.. He's not hyper like some pups, but he's definitely been a lot of fun... First going to start with sit, stay and strengthen his recall. Socialization as well of course, but thankfully he's already very friendly with everything - people, cats, dogs... Just gotta keep it up. He was a bit nervous at first but warmed up fast.

He looks like a mess right now.. He came from a home infested with fleas, ticks, etc., so he still has some scabs from that as well as dirt. But once I get him switched to a good food and give him a grooming he'll look better. Still need a vet check up as well, just to be safe.

Right now he's whining because he can't get on my bed :P

Lupen! I'm going to have to come find you and steal him. Yep.

Seriously though he is way to cute, I can't even imagine him sitting in a shelter. Love his eyes and his lighter colored paws (I can't see him tailtip!):)

Have you chooses a name?
