Me and my parents have five cats and a dog, a 1 year old border collie mix named Primrose. They all get a long fine, except for when Primrose, when in high energy, chases one of the cats, but the cats don't mind. We can afford all six, but I don't know if we can take on anymore animals. Anyway, I found out that my parents are thinking of getting me another dog. I asked them how we could afford it, and my parents are they sure they can afford it. I told them I wasn't sure if we should get another dog, even though we do have a nice, pretty big house with a fenced in backyard with lots of trees and grass and bushes and such. So they said if I wasn't sure, I should ask some people what they think. So I decided to make this topic. I am very temped with getting another dog, but I'm just not sure. Primrose and the cats are fine with other dogs. If we decided to get another dog, we would get a small dog. Possibly an Italian Greyhound. Please post what you think! I'm just so confused XD

Also, feel free to post breed suggestions. Though if we do get another dog, we may get a mix <3

After a long night of thought (I was up half the night reading Star Trek and thinking XD) I have decided to say... yes. One of the reasons we can afford it is my dad just got a raise, so we have some extra money. We just got done fostering a litter of kittens, and I would have liked to keep one, but they all have homes now and have left the house to their new homes. Please feel free to post breed suggestions (must be small breeds) and such <3

I was calling shelters near where we live earlier, and one actually had a Havanese! We went to meet her earlier today (I was surprised how early the shelter opened! We went as soon as it opened, around 11:00) and oh my gosh, she is such a sweetie! She is chocolate and white, and our hearts melted <333

We want to adopt her, but another person was interested in her but couldn't take her for a few days. If we wait, the other person would get her, and I really love her. Should we adopt her? Or wait until we find another dog? I'm already in love with her even though I've only know her for, what? An hour? My parents said we can adopt her, but I want to know what you guys think! <3

Well, we picked up the dog! We introduced her to Primrose over a gait, and then on a leash, and they were immediately in a play bow., Primrose was so happy to have another dog to play with, and the dog was happy to be out of the kennel. Right now, they are in the backyard sniffing everything. Now, does anyone have any name suggestions? XD

congrats. perhaps you should name her after her personality.or if you got her during a specail event. like when i got my dog jake i got him during a football game so we named him after jake locker the famous football player.
