Horse epilepsy? [please read]

I am making a character in a horse RPG and I want the horse to have a epilepsy.
But I know very few things about it so if anyone can answer my questions it would be great.
What causes horses to have seizures ?
What is epilepsy ?
Why do horses get epilepsy ?

I think that is all but if you have anything more about it I would be thankful to know <33

First of all, google(or similar online search thing, wikipedia is kinda good for all round stuff) is your friend when it comes to researching stuff.
Second:
-Yes, they can have seisures. Which is not very nice when half ton animal falls to ground shaking...
- I'm confused why are you asking what epilepsy is when you want to make a character that has it...
- Usually it has something to do with brains, like tumor or infection. But epilepsy on horses is no way near as common as it is on humans.
Generally a horse with epilepsy is, in my oppinion, dangerous to ride since the seizures are unpredictable. It might have nice life as a paddock decoration so to say, but will probably still need medication. If a wild horse would have epilepsy, it probably wouldn't survive very long.

I tried to look around on google but I couldn't get any closer to it.

I was just asking what epilepsy is because I want to know more, I know that it is brain related but is it anything more.
But thanks for answering, it helped me a little bit.

But why do they get seizures? Is it something they ate or something around them?
