I would love it if wolves lived in England. Stupid humans wiping them out.

If they've been gone for over 400 years, wouldn't the wildlife adapted to not having any sort of big predator and reintroducing them be a bad idea? Do you folks have a problem with wildlife, ie overpopulated deer, that reintroducing wolves would help with?

stupid humans, you realise that you´re a human too right? look, people in the 1600s did not know any better not to mention that the reasons why they were huntent to extinction was due to conflcit between humans and wolves like: threat to livestock, human life and frequently desecrated burial sites,

Of course nowadays we know better than to that.
Yes humans are capable of destroying nature, but we are also capable of taking responsability for our actions and try to make up for it like making conservation programms and such.
That whole stupid humans thing is wolfaboo talk.
I advise you to read this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolves_in_Great_Britain

As I said here, not much wildlife in the UK, and I have been living here since I was 3.
Wildlife I've seen in England:
Deer = 0
Fox = 1
Rabbits/Hares = 1
Squirrels = 10-15

The most Wildlife I ever see is birds, Robins, Pidgeons, Seagulls, Magpies, Blue Tits (In Winter only, my fav bird), etc. No reptiles.

Obviously wolves can't live on that, they can't eat birds, not often anyway, and nature is used to not having them around. Hardly any nature around here anyway. Zoos don't lock them up, correction to the poll, they care for them and are better off in zoos than in the wild, atleast in the UK.

Try getting something else into England, maybe Red Squirrel or a type of Deer or another type of Bird, something that can adapt more succesfully and eats plants.

Jerks overhunted. And when the last wolf was there they said" oh, let's help them"

(or was that thylacine?)

You can't make a public thread and expect everybody to agree with you 100%, rarely 75% agree. I have A German Shepherd, she shows me what a wolf PUP can do.

I've seen about 5 deers and I don't even live near the countryside! I live in a town, don't know if I can say where so I ain't going to! I've seen a couple of foxes near a stable and once my sister saw a fox in the street outher bedroom window! I wouldn't mind having wolves back in Scotland as long as the number was kept low so there wasn't any attacks. There should be a border so if a pack or lone wolf crosses, they drive them back into the border. If the wolves keep coming back across the border, they would have to be shot because that would be a threat :D

That's the point! What would the wolves eat? Don't say that we can feed them, becausr that would be a risk and unnatural. I say a definite no on wolves in England.
