Well, I think he should be alright. One cookie shouldn't have a huge affect, but try not to let him eat alot of chocolate or other human food.

Dark chocolate is very bad for them. Milk chocolate is still not good in large amounts, but it shouldn't hurt him.

For one, you're not allowed to ask medical advice on here. Just take your dog to the vet rather then posting here if you think there's something wrong.

Second, one chocolate chip cookie is not a big deal unless it was a ginormous cake size cookie. Your dog may feel sick if they're not used to eating human food but they'll more then likely be perfectly fine. Just watch him.

He will/should be fine.
If this happened after your vet was closed, make sure to have your local emergency clinics number on file along with your reg vet. If he becomes lethargic, painful, or does not want to eat, bring him to the vet ASAP. Really, he should be fine.
You could always force vomiting, but he really should not boot it. :)

More than likely, he will be completely fine. He may not even have any symptoms. A pit bull is a decent sized breed, and there isn't much chocolate in most cookies(seriously, unless you had one HUGE cookie then the amount of chocolate would be miniscule). If you are worried then call the local vet and ask if it warrants a trip to see the vet. More than likely your vet will say keep him hydrated, keep an eye on him, and keep him confined to watch for vomit or diarrhea. If he has thrown up or has diarrhea, definitely take him to the vet right away, because those are signs of a severe reaction, and he may dehydrate.

He'll probably be just fine. Lily, my rat terrier (rat terriers are a small breed) once got into more than one chocolate cookie, and she was just fine. Like the others say, just keep an eye on him and unless he has a bad reaction, he shall be okay.

He'll be fine. Xena used to be nothing but trouble when we were away and she was on her own, and we had a bowl with a couple of small cookies with the cream thing inside it, and she licked the bowl clean  She was fine afterwards as there were only 2 or 3. He'll be fine.

I second both points of this. Worst case scenario, he vomits it back up. My 6 pound Chihuahua got a hold of two chocolate chip cookies, ate them both, and has had absolutely no problems, aside from hurt feelings after I scolded her. However, read this because you might want to know what it contains.
