Alright I'm so confused on what to do when Cash's goal is born.
Do I go in and imprint or will Cash reject it?! Help I really wanna know what
To do. Ive never dealt with foals as you can see.

@smokey: Ah yes, cribbers... -_- I remember them drom collage, with wooden fences they are no fun... Like one morning we went out and fixed one fence, and then suprise suprise the horses had already chewed a good bit of it by dinner time...
That's pretty neat info about the brands, I rememer I once tried looking into them for reason I no longer remember. Some Icelandics have freeze brands, but I'm not sure how popular they are anymore.

@Rainy: Most likely never, though I still very much would like a filly out of her... But I'm pretty darn poor and she's not being superb mother so... Plus the itch is making everything so much harder with the foals I find it's not really worth it.

@Rowdy: That's sad to hear, but as you said maybe it's the right choice. If he has taught you what he can, then it's time to move on even though it probably really hurts. I've been thinking selling Heta few times as well, but I just can't do it...

@Boomer: Best thing you can do is leave it alone(especially since you have no idea what to do or how to handle foals) and let Cash take care of it. Mares are pretty good mothers most of the time and know what they are doing, plus it's not necessary for human to 'imprint' with a foal. If she allows you near the foal then you can try petting it and such, but other than that I wouldn't really do anything. I'd be slightly concerned about Boomer in the same paddock however...

@blue- im going to do walk trot. Either with Phin or Havanna. It will probably be Phin and I know he will do fine because the little cross rails are so small, he just walks over them. But I would have loved to do it with Havanna because I know she will actually jump them. Though sometimes, she trips. So I need more practice with cross rails with her first. But just walk trot for my beginner show.

I'm heading out to see fred this afternoon, I get to ride him for the first time! I really hope we get along well :3 Any tips for riding a horse/pony for the first time to make a good impression? I might try get photos/videos. I still need to post the photos/videos of breeze though!

Calm assertive! You should avoid "playing nice" or he'll know you aren't serious or that he can push you around. Make it clear that you plan on being in charge. Feeling confident is also big because as I'm sure everyone knows, horses pick up on your emotions. Good luck and have fun!

I Ride and Own A horse, named Firefly. She's a Palomino, and is 5 years old.
I've never done any sort of Show, I just ride her on our land and trails in the area. (that allow horses...)

Thanks for the advice Opal! I had an amazing time! Not only did I get to ride Fred I got to ride another horse called Breeze.

Today I still have to call about what time I'm leaving with S and the lady who is trailering Robert and I over to the fair grounds in three weeks. I feeling like there are a million things to do before we leave and NOTHING is done. I am going to talk to D about all the little things with my classes and see if she can come to the dressage show to give me pointers after the tests.

On a better note, my Justin's cs,e yesterday! They are so comfirtible and are already broken in. I'm going to try riding in them tomorrow to see how well I can ride with a shorter, looser boot then my tall boots.

Just got back from my last day of camp! We did a fun show for all the moms and dads. (hehe) We got to bring things to decorate our horses with too! It was so fun! I'm going back next week to help out instead of being a camper

@Sin: Yup, pics are cool as long as they don't show your face, so either blur or color over your face then they should be okay to post in CS.

@Blue: That's me always when I have to leave somewhere. Then in the end I might end up having all done the last minute and still have time to spare... Or then not...

Some recent pictures. I really don't have too many recent ones... I always seem to have bad timing when going in the pasture, like the foals are usually sleeping, or then Tývar just hangs around me. >_< And then there's this bratty stubborn super friendly 3 year old bugging me... She seriously is really pushy, with very very little respect for people and doesn't take a hint when you try to push/chase her away. Like she won't really move away and might even pin ears at me sometimes and once she kinda turned her butt at me as well... L once tried chase her away by banging to water cans together, and it didn't really work... I really don't like her, no matter how pretty she may be her personality flat out sucks(well the main reason is how she was raised, it's long story that I don't know too well to tell properly). So I really don't like spending too much time in the pasture, though on the other side of the fence I could watch forever(since my camera has awsome zoom <3).

"Raaawr! I'm a big monster, who will come and eat you!" lol Not. Though he's apparently in the age where he tries to taste everything. Including me, my pants, jacket, shirt, hat, shoes, lead rope, Heta's itch rug/hood if I put them on the ground etc. you name it.
He is no monster, just tad too cheeky...
