@Hime
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /Endscapabuse
He is so adorable<3 And he looks remarkably like Heta. Oooh, I just love foals. He just sounds so cute.
-----------------------------------------------------
Random Foal Story:
About a year ago, a mare was turned out loose in a paddock. A some time later, she had a foal. She never looked pregnant, she didn't show signs of being pregnant.... The foal just appeared one day, and was confirmed hers. So, a random healthy foal appeared in a field. The foal was adorable, she had an irregular blaze that went over her eye.

@Hime:
omg, he's so freaking adorable!<3 Being a chestnut wouldn't be a downside for me, I love chestnuts! xD I'll bet he grows up to be gorgeous~ And he's got such a cute face too~
Sneaky Heta, tricking you all. xD

And If we're going to share sneaky foaling mares stories, I've got a good one for you guys.
Almost all the horses we get at the school have unknown origins and most we know nothing about until we've been able to handle them for a few weeks after we've bought them.
A couple years ago, we (this was during my year-long break, btw, so I us 'we' loosely, haha) got a cute little bay mare who was really out of shape and had an odd belly. We kept her around for a bit, but because she was amazingly docile and obedient, we wanted to incorporate her into classes as soon as possible (it was summer and even with 40 school horses, we run short with the camp sessions going all day every day). We gave her her shots and checked for all the basic signs of sickness to make sure she wasn't going to spread anything, but otherwise, just sort of assumed she'd be fine and start looking better as she worked in the school.
Well, one day during camp, she was in a class and the instructor noticed two little hooves under her tail. She didn't show any signs of foaling, but the little guy wasn't waiting. He immediately stopped the lesson, removed her tack, and took her over to the secluded round pen before calling over the manager.
Luckily, everything went smoothly and both of them were fine.
We check our mares now though, haha. We don't breed and don't keep stallions so breeding won't be accidental. I think everyone just sort of forgot that it was possible for her to be pregnant. xD

I'm not sure what happened to the little dude, I think the barn owner took him over to another barn or a friend or something for training once he was weaned, but I never really got a solid answer about it. I've also heard he had to send him to a surrogate because she wasn't caring for him properly and he wasn't doing well. I hope it was the former as the latter's a bit sad.
We still have the mare, Sugar. She's one of our drill horses now.
There's a video of them here if anyone wants to see. x] You get to see his first steps <3
(Also, it's not my video, neither of the girls in the beginning is me, haha. I think I know one of them, but it's been a couple years, so I'm not positive)

I got a story!
About two or three years ago a mare at my first barn had a foal. No one knew she was pregnant and she didn't even look pregnant. She ended up have her goal in the middle of the front paddock. She gave birth to a very big dapple grey Dutch warmblood filly. Her name is CeCe and she is gorgeous.

I need to be judged by some dressage riders. I know my heels are not down far enough. Those are new boots and if I had them down any further they would slip out of the stirrups. I might have a video tomorrow!

Actually... Heta foaled this morning! :D I got text from L at 7am, that we have new arrival. Apparently she had gotten there 6.30 only to find wet foal lying next to Heta, and I think the placenta had passed as well since when I got there little after 7.30 the foal was totally dry and the placenta was outside and L said Heta managed to eat little of it as well, so that's little tricky as now we can't be sure that it all came out(but I think it did). Heta pretty much handled everything by herself and was sneaky as well since at 3 am she was eating peacefully with 0 signs of foaling. But the sucky part it's a chestnut colt. XP Gee thanks Heta, though he's totally adorable as he apparently got his mother's eyes and face. <3 Heta wasn't her usual self in the morning(probably sore, tired and slightly shocked), but when I said good night to her she was more herself already. She's also being very good momma, not fussing at all but still takes good care of her boy. The little colt is very brave and friendly, and very demanding for milk. XD His pattern was about nap 10-15 minutes, have a drink and walk around, drink again and go to sleep, repeat. He got to go outside for little time today, since we took the older one as well and then L and R were like, oh let's take the little guy out as well. :o He was little shocked at first, but Heta could careless when she got to the green grass. XD Heta kept nickering to him really quietly all the way out and then when we went back in she kept talking to him as well. He also followed momma back inside like a pro.
More pictures to come(as I got someone to snap few for me when we were outside, since I was holding Heta). I've been out of house(=at the stable) since 7.10 am and it's over midnight now and I got home maybe hour ago. So SLEEP now.

Just popping in, actually looking to see how HETA WAS DOING! AND OH MY GOSH FOAL! I am so so so happy for you, yay, the long wait is OVER! And he is an absolutely gorgeous little boy, congratulations! It sounds like Heta is going to be a great mom for her little baby. I can't wait for more pictures! Any ideas on what you're going to name the little monster? Oh my gosh, his blaze is precious, I am in love!

I can still critique, but why are you interested in having some dressage-rider input if you aren't riding in a dressage saddle?

@OpalWyvern: That is the saddle I will be using for Dressage. It's an all purpose saddle so it does have a deep seat.

I am so excited!!!!!!! He is the most adorable thing ever, even if he is the exact opposite of what you wanted. I can't really tell from the picture, but does he have any leg markings? Also, do you have to microchip/register him? Heta is such a good mom haha.

It depends on how much you use them. It sounds like with how much you would use them it sounds like they would last for quite a while. I always drag my feet so the bottoms of my boots are usually worn down pretty fast. Although I haven't had that problem at all with my tony lamas. And anyway, you could always get them resoled.

@Opal:
~Cut since you've seen~

@Largest ever ridden:
Probably my draft boy Rocky. He is 17.2 hands. After Rocky, probably Oreo, he is 17 hands.

@Oliviaoi:
No problem!! Anytime!! :)

@Fav Horse Ridden:
Probably Queso just because I've had to work so hard with him to get him where he's at now. And he's still progressing. He can be the biggest jerk to ride sometimes, but when he has good days it's like a dream.

@Lexi:
It sounds like she is gorgeous!!! I like Tricky Business! I think that's a pretty BA name!! I like Guilty Pleasure too. And My kinda Paradise. But Tricky Business is my fav I think.

@Opal:
Yeah I hate it when people won't ride a horse because of its size. The only thing that should really alter the decision to ride a horse or not is if your size will hurt the horse, or if the horse and rider just aren't good matches. Our smallest are minnies, although our smallest fully grown riding horse is probably either Queso or Santana. I guess Santana, I don't think we've measured him, but I believe he is shorter than Queso, but only by a little bit, so I bet he is around 13.3 or 13.2.

@Hime:
OHMYGOSHHHHH!!! He is absolutely adorable!! What a cute baby!! I Love him!! Congrats to you and Heta!!
There's something to be said for a place that hasn't had all the rough rode out of it.
