@anyone- What is your favorite horse you have ever ridden?

I'm 5'9", and I ride a 15 hand gelding. He's an absolute sweetheart, but he's a little short for me, and he's getting old, so I'm going to retire him to be lazy whenever I get a younger horse to ride. My preferences are 16 hands and up, but I'm okay with my 15 hand gelding, as of now. I love that horse to death. <3

@Favourite horse: Well, I have a few. My ultimate favourite has to be my 13.2hh Welsh C gelding Simmy. He is the best and I have had him since I was 4 and he was 4. It's been an amazing partnership and I can trust him with anything. We are jumping 3'3 jumps with nothing but a head collar, I trust him that much. The next one is my granddad's friend's 17.3hh Shire x TB mare, Connie. Love her sooooooooooooooooo much. I saw her being born and I used to see her everyday after that day. I have ridden her billions of times, hunted her once and went into a jumping comp with her and came first. Love her and at the bottom of the list is my 4 year old Irish Cob. lol! Nah, I love him so much, he's only young so he likes to buck around.

@Favorite horse: Rainy appendix mare 15.3 hh? about I think and Junior quarter horse gelding 15.3hh I pretty sure they are about the same height personality wise full of it! Rainy mean to horses sweet to me unless I ride someone else... Junior would be a jokester and one of my only guy friends so sweet but gives grief. riding Rainy's canter is like orchestra music, I hear winter or classical music smooth and legato. Junior's canter is classical but starts staccato and moves to legato smooth more of um.. Heart attack by Demi Lavato? there bare walk backs SAME until bare back trot.

@Stark: I prefer ariat half chaps. I have had one pair of ariats for three years. (As you can tell I don't grow a lot!) there very comfortable and hold up pretty well.

Fab horse: My favorite horse is Rosie. I have ridden so many horses but Rosie is my favorite.

I have a nine year old Friesian named Black Charm and yes my username is blackcharm because I love my horse so much! She is a sweetheart and loves little kids, I've trained her since she was born. I do cross country, trail rides, and some dressage with her. I even taught her to bring her bucket with her when it's time to eat.

Ok HUGE question guys!!! I need a show name for my mare!!! She is 14hh, she is 4 years old, and i am currently breaking her. She is really sweet... but she has a wild/spunk side to her. I have been the only one to ride her and work with and when i ride her, she tends to buck and i have been working with her on that so she hasnt been bucking as much lately so thats good so anyway, her color is a dark buckskin paint and she has a split color mane and tail so her tail is black and white and her mane is black and white. She is going to be a gaming/flag horse when she is broke fully. So she will be a western horse but she is and arabian/QH cross but basically i will be doing the junior rodeo with her and i am 13 now. She will pretty much be doing keyhole,barrel racing, poles, and other stuff. She does not spook very much so when i turn 18, she will be 9, so i want to do this SOOOOOO bad with her!! ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYP05C0us6Q So i have came up with a show name for her.. i just dont know if i like it alot i go on and off about it... maybe it doesnt have enough spunk to it?? i dunno but her real name is lexi and her show name right now is "My Little American Dream" but i might want to change it to like... Also, our barrel racing song is Gunpowder and Lead by miranda lambert so maybe her showname could be gunpowder and lead?? i dunno but please help guys!!! maybe sugar and spice cuz shes sweet and spunky !! gahhhh please help!!!!! (and yes guys she is 100 pounds underweight but the reason is that she is not my horse. The owners dont have enough money to keep their horse healthy enough but i do feed her grain of my own and she used to be 200 pounds underweight so she is only 100 pounds away from being perfect!!! and also i only go to the barn once every week so thats bad...so anyway they are selling her for 200 dollars so my dad said i can at least lease her at my house for the summer so she can be worked with more and eat more!!!! Help needed guys. Again. Sorry.

Right so, you all probably know that I go to a riding school. And I love it, nice people and everything I could wish for. The only problem is I can only do so much, and since I have gotten to the best level I can on my rides I am limited. I could move onto the night rides, the only problem is getting up there, both my parents work and there is no bus even close by. So I am pretty much stuck.

Then I thought...

My friends granddad has a small yard with only him and his couple of horses- 3 minutes from my house. And I can walk there fine. There is a max of 3 horses on the yard? And I might be biting off more then I can chew but they all need bringing on if not more. And another point, I went to go see my hopefully new college to do an animal course and they said the more experience the better, so isn't working with these horses good experience?

One problem.

My mother and father don't want me going here, even know they know the fellow and his grandchild and know that is is completely safe they refuse to even think about it. Today I brought up the experience thing and they just ignored it. I just cannot win. I have been aroundhis horses before and so have they, so I honestly don't see the problem.

If you guys see a problem in this please tell me, I honestly believe that this would be a good chance for me to get further in the equine world.

Update!

So now I have found out something else.

My auntie Joanne has horses, and I have been there before and I was a great help. That was a couple years ago. Just recently I found out she has been messaging my parents and nanna asking if I could come up her farm and help out since she would really like my help. But they haven't been telling me. So when I found out she had been doing this for months I was canny angry and upset and still am, I'm welling up just writing this. She lives around 10 minutes away and I can get there on my bike easy enough. She is my family so it's safe and we all get on.

I just don't know what to do really, it just seems like everything I try to do to get me further into college my mother and father throw out the window.

@Stark. ~ I have a pair of Rideon tight breeches from Dover, they were like $48 I think, and they work really well for me... sorry, I'm probably not a huge help since I usually ride western... I may switch to english if I find a barn down here by me though.

@Favorite Horse ~ My all time favorite horse, well technically pony, is Peanut. But I also love Cam, and older horse at my school that can't be ridden due to an injury (none of the horses at my school can be ridden). Before I found Peanut I had a connection with a trail horse from my old stable, Sweet Pea, whom I still think of quite often
