Do You Ride Horses?

Horse to Human Size:
I feel normal on 16hh to 17hh horses, any shorter and I feel as big as the horse. I am 5'9" so I guess it makes sense....

I feel so tiny on horses that are like, 14.3hh-15hh @.@ I'm used to riding big ponies but now I'm on a smaller horse and I still feel tiny! But I'm only 5'2.5" soooo hahah. I feel short to everyone really, my mom and dad tower over me and my bf's 6 feet O.o let alone a huge horse!

horse to human size. Well I am 5'11" so thats what? 18 hands or so? And my horse is 16.3 right now. anything under 16 and i feel SHORT!! my draft horse, loved him, was almost 18 hands, and he was a but on the shortish side for me.

@Horse to Height Preferance

I'm 5'6" and I really could care less what size a horse is XD I feel comfortable on all sizes, and while I think that there are some heights that are better suited to different sized horses, I don't really think size is something that should be like, a deciding factor in whether you like/ride/buy a horse. I am also /all/ legs, like my legs are /really/ long, but my horse is 14.3hh and I don't have any problems riding him and my legs go past his stomach. Size really doesn't matter as much as people seem to think it does XD

Horse sizes: I'm 5'5" and I'm pretty open to all sizes of horses...Last summer I was 5'4" and I rode a 14.1hh pony comfortably. My heel was just below her belly but we were a good match. That was about the lowest I could go, for regular lesson riding. And the lowest I could manage nowadays is probably 14.1 or 14.2. But I've ridden smaller for hacking, etc. Taz is 13.2 and I rode him a few times last summer, and then Hermes, who was about 12.3 I'd bet. It was a really tight squeeze but we only walked/trotted and sometimes cantered for about 30 minutes. No one else would ride him so I was stuck with him a lot, until Circean and I switched hacking ponies so I got the bigger one, lol. So I've ridden 12hh ponies, but I don't ever want to again lol. I can ride a horse anywhere in the 14hh range fine, but I'm most comfortable on a horse in the 15hh-16hh region. Tucker was probably 15.2-15.3, and Shelby's about the same, but Cooper might be 16hh. Maddy was probably 16hh or 15.3 too. So, I prefer upper 15hh-lower 16hh :]

Horse sizes;
I feel comfortable on an about 14hh (maybe shorter, I'm just guessing here) and I also feel comfortable on 16hh+ horses.
The mare I ride is probably somewhere around 15 hands, and I fit her perfectly.
I'm about 5'5 so I guess I work best on 15hh horses? xD
I like riding huge horses though. It's so fun.

I'd say I feel more comfortable on larger horses because my legs feel more comfortable and I love the longer strides because I feel sick sometimes when trotting for ages with a ponies bouncey strides x)

What is the largest horse everyone's ridden? I'm curious ^_^

Horse to height:
I feel tall on all horses. I have really long legs so I don't fit many horses. I ride a 17hand horse and I only fit him because he is rather plump. I rode another horse that was 16.3 and I was too big for him. I need like an 18hand horse XD

English riders, what brand of breeches do you prefer?
I'm going to buy some new breeches soon, but I want to see what the reccommended brand is.
I've been riding in Devon Aire breeches, but some other breeches fit my budget too. ($50 or under).
