I was gonna say.. Lol. Hackamores are bitless bridles. I knew that one. I saw a cool clinic on hackamores. This western rider was awesome with it and the idea of using it. His technique worked perfectly!

Yea they are, but they are classified as a bit for maple reason... I have no idea why.

Well today's ride was... interesting... terrible..

First time in a LONG time not riding with gam gam :P Well the ride actually went wonderful. Crazy jumper courses on Shelby, perfecting nearly every single jump. Then she and I got hot, I was dehydrated :P And you know how that goes.

I was grazing her then my stomach turned, then the whole world was spinning and I was seeing stars, then I started stumbling, then I couldn't breath and everything went black, but I knew I had to put Shelby away so I stumbled with her to the barn, because before I was going to pass out I needed to know that she was put away and safe. And then I had a hard time putting her up ca use I couldn't see well, and things were spinning but then I was so close to passing out, but I sat down instantly then got water and somehting sugary then I was starting to feel better.

It was crazy,

Smokey: Ohh I love the pictures, the stud horse is beautiful <3

Hano: Yea, your alive!! Is that Willow in your picture?

Horse height-your height: I am 5'4" and pretty skinny so I feel fine on just about any horse. I do feel like I am more comfortable on 14.1-16hh horses, any higher and mounting is a challenge lol.

Hime: What an adorable little foal! I am not usually a fan of chestnuts, but this little girl is too cute.

Monchele: She is really over lumping and could sit back farther. Also is it just the picture or is Lucky really overweight?

Scarlet: Have fun, I really wish I could do trail rides but Bob *as you all know* doesn't do good on them. Once I get moved up to a higher level at my volunteer job i will be able to trail ride all summer and I can not wait for that. It would also mean I can ride some of the newer horses at my old barn that I have been dieing to ride!

Enchanted: Sidesaddle seems really hard, I mean how do you properly canter or trot? Can you even post? lol

Timaeus: I have heard that the western saddle wasn't made for cantering, it is perfect or trotting (I find that sitting trot in an English saddle is hard), so I am glad you likes it so much! What saddle did you get again?

Circean: Oh my gosh, that sounds really frightening! I'm glad your okay. A couple weeks ago I started to get dehydrated and have chest pains while I was still riding! It wasn't as bad as you had, but it still freaking my trainer out...

_______
I am sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes, I had to get up at 7am on my day off (Memorial day for those outside the states) because I am meeting everyone at the barn for schooling at 10am, but first we are visiting a family friend. I will let you all know how everything goes :)

EDIT: Okay, so I was looking around for a pair of Justin's (boots) and found theses, it is an amazing price, and that is just it-the price. Normally these boots go for about $85, The suddenly they are such a good price at one place, could it just be that stor or is there something that makes them cheaper? http://www.horse.com/item/justin-ladies ... s/E003959/

I ride every fortnight. I've got a dressage test (level 5) coming up soon but I think I've got it all worked out!

@Hackamores: I consider a hackamore a bit... It's still using pressure to aid the horse, and it's more similar than different to an in-mouth bit.

@tom daley & gam gam: Thanks for critiquing her picture! I completely agree, and I sent her what you guys said :)

@Blue: Thanks! Have fun riding :) And yeah Lucky's really fat... He's worked a lot though, just eats a lot of meadow grass.

I had a drill meeting today and we got our new drill pattern. I. LOVE. IT. We have a zipper pattern, a pinwheel, a suicide charge... It's AWESOME!!! I'll take a picture of it and upload it here. I'm super excited to practice it when I can ride again :) I should be good to go June 13th which isn't far off at all.

I don't personal own horses but my neighbors do and I fell in love with a horse named Boomer. He is a very gentle and very sweet horse and it didn't take long for him to trust my sister and me. Not many people over there give him or his female partner much attention basically leave them out to the pasture. I can understand why they are elderly and keeping the horses in there backyard for there kids' kids the female is named Cash she is a red roan. I feel so bad for her because she has rain rot and no one seems to notice it except me and my sister. Either way heres what Boomer looks like, well his head anyways.(They allow us to go over and visit them and give them attention so that's why I have pictures.)

@hugothebunny: Next time you go out bring listerine and rube it in the rain rot. Make sure it's the orange colored listerine.

Update: I had a lesson yesterday we did a walk/trot/canter dressage test. I was soooooo nervous and I failed the first time. The second time it was wonderful besides those few times Rosie was not in a frame, and was fast after the canter. Next Sunday we are going to a different barn. We will trot some hills and if they have elementary jumps me and Rosie will do some jumping.

@Scarlet <3: That sounds like so much fun, I've always wanted to ride a Walker! I've only been trail riding a couple of times, but I'm sure you'll have a blast.

@Circean: I've gotten dehydrated while riding before, though it was nothing more than a little dizzyness. That sounds really awful, I'm glad you're okay.

@mochele: And now is when I go to Google Images and look up all of those formations that you mentioned. XD They sound really cool, though.

@*HugoTheBunny*: That sounds really bad, I hope you and your sister treat them well. <3 Boomer's a cutie.

@Summer Eventer: I'm sorry you did badly the first time, but it sounds like you recovered. c: That sounds like fun!

--

I had a lesson on Saturday, and didn't think to post yesterday as I was quite busy. c:
Oof, my legs are SO sore. I woke up at 4AM because of the pain.

I haven't ridden in 3 months because my trainer had a riding-related accident (let's just say that her horse spooked, landed on her jaw, and knocked out half of her teeth... not pretty) and I was so ready to get back on Vienna, my usual riding horse. But I got there and she was either lame or out at the paddock, because she wasn't being ridden (according to the whiteboard that my stable uses to keep track of lessons) and I was on my previous horse, Zip. I was kind of disappointed, and even more so when it took me 5 minutes just to get him out of his stall, because he was very intent on finishing his breakfast. I was pleased that I got the girth length right on the first try (our girths are all jumbled together on a post, so it's really hard to get the right one every time), but then I twisted the noseband and messed up my stirrup length. Once I got on, though, we had a really smooth ride.

I didn't think that my trainer would do much with me after a three month break, but 20 minutes into the lesson I started cantering (I lost it once or twice, but eventually I got him steady), and 35 minutes in started jumping. Not little cross rails either, but actual jumps! I was pretty darn happy. <3 She told me I did better this lesson than I did on my last lesson before the break. You should have seen me, I was like radiating rainbows.

But I also realized that my boots, helmet, breeches, and protective vest are all far too small now. Summer babysitting, here I come! I actually can't wait to go back to the tack shop, the lady who owns it is so nice and owns something crazy like 12 horses herself. She's always in her own breeches and boots while she's in the shop, because right after it closes she goes riding. And her stuff is really cheap and really high quality. Needless to say, I love that woman. XD
