My leg stays forward because my stupid thighs are so long. And my leg is sliding everywhere. Here I was thinking a new saddle would fix some of my problems. Well it's obvious that nothing in my life can stay happy for more than a day or two.
Oh, rain, this isn't true. I've seen pictures of you riding, and you're STUNNING. Your equitation is beautiful - Robert Gage even said so, and he's a seasoned pro. Your leg is not sliding everywhere. It's not. I watched the video of you going through those grids like a pro, and I didn't see it slide a single inch.
What's this about your thighs being long? They don't look long to me. Your legs are long, which is great, especially for riding. Your thighs aren't long in proportion to the rest of your leg. Be happy with long legs, they make it easier to ride the naughty horses because you have more options.
You are learning, you are improving every day. Think back to a year ago, when you were riding Winnie. I can tell you, from pictures, that you've improved by leaps and bounds. You were already a good rider then and you're even better today. And guess what - YOU WILL CONTINUE GETTING BETTER. That's how it works. I know how incredibly frustrating it is to feel stuck on a small issue, but honestly, that doesn't matter. Of course, try your hardest to fix the issue, but don't obsess over the little things. Keep your eye on the big picture. You have years ahead of you to continue improving. <3
@blue:
Wow, you guys look super cute together! ;D And your riding has seriously improved so much since I've last seen pictures, I'm proud! xD It sounds like you and Robert are a match made in heaven.
