I'm going to my first lesson in almost two weeks tonight1 i don't think I've ever gone this long without riding.
Why did I go so long without? Well, exams were this eek 9now I'm done!) so we switched temporarily to one lesson per week. Then, on my regular Sunday lessons, there was a huge storm with -30 C temperatures. So I couldn't go. I haven't gone since two Sundays ago and I'm a bit worried.
As well, I'm having another issue. I feel like I'm going nowhere in riding.
Since I've been at my instructor's place, I have improved greatly, but even in the summer I'd be jumping 2'3 courses but now I'm hardly doing single jumps at that height. It may be because of what happened at the show-I wasn't at all upset after it so it wouldn't be for my concern- but since about October I don't feel like I've done anything new, and that I've actually been doing less. Some of this may be with Squirt- he's an absolutely amazing horse and has taught me a ton, but he's also used for beginner lessons. The thing is, there are not too many horses to change to. Ubie was sold, I fell of Harley, Timone is just a temporary horse and the only other horses really left belong to her daughters. Right now I feel I'm just stuck in my riding, and I don't know what I can do to get further.
