Thank you for the warm welcomes! (:
It's not likely that I'll be able to start riding again soon, 'cause it's too much money for my family.
If I find someone to hire me... That's a whole different story.

Hey everyone, long time no talking to you guys. It's been slow and I haven't had the chance to be riding because snow came, yay! not really, and with snow, came the freezing arctic front, which caused Ice! Yay! not really which means no riding for me.

Kk, so, I fell off only a little while ago, at a competition, And now I'm afraid to get back on.... As soon as I do, my horse will pick up on my nerves quickly and easily, causing him to bolt/run/bounce/gallop into the distance...
Hey! I was away for 4 days, so if I missed something, please tell me!!

    @Rain: Congratulations so so so so much on jumping 3'!!! :) I'm so happy for you! You and Riley are such a good team! I'm so glad your confidence is up :) a good ride where you accomplish a lot is just the thing you need <3 Asdfghjkl; I'm so happy for you omg!!!!!

    @Chunky: Oh gosh, I know how you feel. I fell off my horse a mess of times and I was a wreck by the end of our ride, and I was really scared to ride him. Just imagine your fall never happened! Falling is good anyway, it helps you know what to improve on :) I get nervous too after I almost fall. I was almost dumped off of Thinker at my last lesson because he wouldn't stay in the circle and I leaned forward when he stopped for some reason, and I was shaking when we started cantering again, but it's all worth it in the end :) If you're nervous, you'll be kicking yourself later for not riding. Do you have access to an indoor arena? If you do, try riding him there! Tht way, it's a contained space and he won't be able to bolt off into the distance ^^

    @Draft: Same! I haven't ridden since Monday, which isn't a long time, but it snowed Wednesday night and it's supposed to start again any time now. Welcome back!

    @Thames: Welcome to the thread! I know tons of barns have working student programs where you work for your lessons. Maybe try to find one that has that? :)

    @Blue: Wow, Chester sounds crazy o_o When horses get spooked by their own farts, it's the funniest thing ever xD My barn manager's horse, Apollo, spooked when we were riding in the outdoor ring once because this girl bought her pony a bright neon rainbow peace sign blanket, and it scared the crap out of him xD What's funny is he's a rugged tough 16hh Mustang c:

    @Daring: Oh my goodness, I hope Candy's okay! :(

    @Horselover: OMG he's so cute! :) What's his name?

His name is Mario, he's a 21 month old colt cob. He's excellent to load stands to be groomed will be lead around all day no problem, excellent stable manners and comes to call from field real pleasure to be around ! Currently standing around 13.2/3 will make 14hh/14.1!

I'm going to my first lesson in almost two weeks tonight1 i don't think I've ever gone this long without riding.
Why did I go so long without? Well, exams were this eek 9now I'm done!) so we switched temporarily to one lesson per week. Then, on my regular Sunday lessons, there was a huge storm with -30 C temperatures. So I couldn't go. I haven't gone since two Sundays ago and I'm a bit worried.

As well, I'm having another issue. I feel like I'm going nowhere in riding.
Since I've been at my instructor's place, I have improved greatly, but even in the summer I'd be jumping 2'3 courses but now I'm hardly doing single jumps at that height. It may be because of what happened at the show-I wasn't at all upset after it so it wouldn't be for my concern- but since about October I don't feel like I've done anything new, and that I've actually been doing less. Some of this may be with Squirt- he's an absolutely amazing horse and has taught me a ton, but he's also used for beginner lessons. The thing is, there are not too many horses to change to. Ubie was sold, I fell of Harley, Timone is just a temporary horse and the only other horses really left belong to her daughters. Right now I feel I'm just stuck in my riding, and I don't know what I can do to get further.

I can't, we only have a paddock because we own our own stables. It isn't 'perfect' but it's ours <3 I love my horse, Lickie but he picks up on my nerves way to quick. He just looks at me with his deep brown eyes and reflects my worry. I honestly can't stop loving him, he just has the most caring heart ever... His brown eyes reflect his heart, love. I wish I loved him as much as he loves me, and I just reach the 2 points less then his love mark XD I LOVE HIM 10299933998!! He loves me 1029993400
