@Dolphin
Oh my goodness! Congrats!
@Monchele
Sounds like your lesson was awesome! If you have any questions or "what should I expect/be thinking about?" concerning shoulder-in's and or hanches in, feel free to ask!

JJ was pretty good yesterday. t's been so frigid here that I haven't been able to see him for a week, so I was surprised that he was as good as he was XD In preparation for the upcoming clinic, I was practicing, shoulder-ins, haunches-in, leg yields, half-passes, turns on the forehand, turns on the haunches, and canter departs from the walk. I think JJ still must be a little sore from his shoeing, because he was AMAZING one direction and terrible the other direction :s Also, he didn't want to do turns on the forehand (Like, he just sat there while I dig my heel into his flank

) which he always did AMAZINGLY before. I got on and off him a few times, pushed his hindquarters around in a turn on the forehand than got back on to kind of demonstrate what I wanted, but he wouldn't budge

After my mother was done with Caper, I waited for her to come in so I could get some help, and she hopped on JJ to see what was the matter. Well, she had difficulty too, but got an alright turn after a few minutes, and I stayed on the ground and pushed JJ's hindquarters around to demonstrate again. He did it excellently, so I got back on and had some mild success, but only in that one direction. So, even though it was a little frustrating with him being a pill one direction, I feel bad because I think he's still sore. I don't want him to be in pain, so hopefully he'll be less sore on that side soon <3 After the ride, I got on him bareback and practiced some turns on the haunches up and down the isle with only his halter on and the lead rope which wasn't attatched to both sides XD He was awesome, and did a bunch of perfect turns on the haunches. After that, I snook some extra mash to the Ajax, the Fresian, and to Alec, who's my horse crush because I'm in love with his confirmation :B
