Yes. I wasn't sure what you wanted exactly to do so I just put all the info I knew about out there fer ya.

Well i wanted to go into a career that involves fish, preferably freshwater until im more experienced.

now im starting to think, maybe my own aquatics shop or something where i breed my own fish to sell.

At least if i'd ever want to breed my bettas they'd all be able to have their own tank when needed. And i wouldn't stock betta bowls or fish bowls, but small 10 gallons in gross and 5 and 2.5 gallons. And then all sorts of different ornaments and substrate. If i breed m own fish i could sell them for less, right? and also i would make sure that the owners have enough gallonage and that the fish are compatible unless they are feeders.

OOH! and i could get a goldfish tank that is not for sale thats like 300 gallons to put fish in so people can see how big those goldies get!

Ah, but that probably wouldn't be possible to happen unless i do a partnership and get a proper stable job first. I can keep dreamin, right? XD

but there are plenty of buildings ready to be rented her in town on main street. Some buisnesses went out of buisness.

And im not sure if i'd wanna take that risk. i could probably do it though. My best friend could partner with me and stuff. but it would be hard.

and then when i get more advanced i can maybe carry marine fish, but i would have to order them from somewhere.

and if i would make enough money, i could carry birds and small animals at a later time, but i wanna start out with fish.

I mean, theres no real need for a pet buisness in town due to Farm and Home/ do it best having their pet section, but at least the tanks would be clean and there would be minimal dead fish. as soon as a fish would die, i'd get it out right away instead of letting it sit until the end of the day. And i'd make my tanks attractive to people too ^^

But somehow i feel like a kid stuck in a fantasy, as if this could never happen in reality.

Well, the fish I posted about died. I really could have used some help, guys. I still could actually. I need to know if whatever killed her was contagious.

Also, sorry about your fish. When the same thing happened to Valentine, my oldest platy that I had had for over 3 years, I was distraught. I'd be happy to help in any way I can. In my opinion, it was either a tumor, fungus, or something I don't know about.

My ten gallon tank is tea colored. >.>
I know it's from the new mopani wood or whatever.
I soaked it until the water was clear.
Now my tank looks like tea. /flails around/
I do a water change and it is fine for about a day, then it just goes back.

I have heard carbon will help take out the tannins.
My monapi wood did that too. I had to do big w/cs to get it all out. Then it turns out it kep ripping Kyros fins. x.x

Dude go fer it. I wanted to open a petshop like that too with a huge goldfish tank and a "goldfish bowl" in it to show why they shouldn't be in them. Along with cling on sickers showing the fishes adult size.

Im sorry she died but like Dia said it can be very harmful to suggest something without knowing whats going on in the tank or not having any ideas to what it could be. Bad advice can kill a fish.

All I can say is keep an eye on the tank for any off behavior.

Sounds awesome, though to prevent stunting, i would switch out goldies while i do the partial water change for the bowl.

The window cling idea is AMAZING with a capital WOW. I might just steal that idea because i luffs it so much :>

I know you guys will shoot me, but what about doing the same thing for bettas in an, of course, heated cube or a cube that would be warm enough. and then a 10 gallon heavily planted one saying "Which betta looks happier?" the only drawback is having to switch every day would be a tad stressfull on the fish.

I will have to get a good paying job throughout college and after to support this though. My mom says i have the brains to do it, but not the knowledge.

Heres the unfortunate thing behind pet stores. The more responsible you are, the less money you'll make. A bunch of stores make a decent portion of their money off of people getting replacement fish and medications and a bunch of equipment they don't really need.

Lol, I meant the bowl inside the tank as decor. Not the goldies in the bowl alone. XD
