XD thanks for the pointing out. i hae zip experience with marine, and i was curious, because saying its a scam and not providing a bunch of facts, confuses me.

Back on that topic, how many gallons would a moon jelly need?

Also, dia... i dont have the cory pms i sent you a while back because i felt like one of their eyes was bulgy. I remember you said you didn't know what they are. They are Agiaz Cories. I'm not sure how its spelled but thats how it sounds.

Anyways, i still feel like their eyes bulge a little, and im not sure if its just me.

Also, I got myself a new boy ^^

Hes white with blue and purple... I love the TMNT turtles so much that im not sure whether to name him Donatello or Leonardo <3. I will post a pic soon, but i put him on hold a couple weeks ago and paid for him all at once. I spent four hours picking through cheap rainbow gravel so only blue and purple stones are in his 2.5 hexagon tank. And i spent 10 dollars on a "moonstone" (not really) Glow in the dark ornament. He seems to like his tank. He swims around a bit and sit on the rock. I brought him home yesterday (after the tank cycled. I saw him, fell in love, and put a 100% downpayment on him and I tested my water. It was right for me to bring him home ^^) The downside is, my lightbulb blew yesterday, so i moved ssome things off my dresser so the light from my touchlamp could reach the tank.

Does anyone know of any flourescent lightbulbs that are the size of "nightlight replacement" bulbs?

Good question. I'm not really sure how much waste jellies produce. Moon jellies can get over a foot across though.
probably however much space you'd need to be able to keep it from bumping into anything.

<3. I'm planning on making a critter keeper tank after christmas and hopefully getting a dragonscale... most likely a red one with short fins... i dont wanna say female because im not too familiar with dragonscales...

Anyway he/she would go on my headboard on the other side of my hexagon tank.

I've seen you guys doing a split Critterkeeper tank... what size do you do that with?

If you want to do a split tank go with atleast 5g so they have 2.5g each

Btw you can get Plakat bettas which the males have shorter tails

He came from someone I know who's kid had gotten him from a Grow a Frog kit. He was living in an inch of disgusting water in a half gallon bug box. It was terrible. I'm low on money right now so I can't buy him a new tank

if it's from a grow a frog kit it's probably an african clawed frog (xenopus laevis). they get a lot bigger than adfs and generally live longer. you can tell them apart really easily. look at their hands, if they have webs, theyre dwarf frogs, if it's not webbed, it's a clawed frog. if you have an acf take out the heater if you have one in there. the 25 gallon is great for him even if he is an acf.
my sig has been godawful ever since i got an account and im finally gettin around to prettyin it up so plz deal with it for a lil longer ty ur a peach

Your getting at least a heater for that tank, right? I'd also suggest taking out the bubbler {I have the same tank, but it's a 1.5 gallon or something} and doing weekly water changes

For the critter keeper I suggest at least a 5, but the bigger is better.

Pic of my NPT 10 gallon. I need to move some of my anacharis into Daniel's tank. You can barely see my sword and bacopa. XD
Gallifrey is back there somewhere hiding in the plants.

Okay, but why take out the bubbler?
I don't think the pet shop here has a heater small enough but my room never goes under 72 degrees and is normally at a constant 76, due to central air. the heater vent blows directly into my room (not near my tank though) and as soon as the house falls under a certain degrees the heat automatically kicks in.

I do plan on doing partial water changes, although it is quite a chore. i have a really huge syphon because of my bigger tanks, so it makes syphoning hard to get the water flow started.

I've only ever kept community tank bettas with heaters. Puffer lived quite a while in that tank.

Um... The filter is an undergravel filter, can you explain how that works at all?

All i know is last time i brought this tank up on here i was told i needed an airstone/bubbler so the fish has oxygen due to lack of live plants and slow water circulation.

Can you tell me how small of a heater I should get then? my tank is about 7.5 inches from the top of the substrate to the top of the water.

Bettas have something called a lybranith organ, so they can gulp at the surface and don't need a bubbler. As far as I am aware that isn't a underground filter and is just a bubbler, which goldfish don't need. I truthfully don't know how an undergravel filter works, so sorry but I can't.

You should keep the bubler if you don't plan on using a filter but if you do get a filter I'd suggest taking it out.

Get the heater for the size of the tank. If it's a 2.5, get a heater for a 2.5 gallon tank. You can always order them online.

Guys I went to the petstore that's improving in it's quality and I...Well..Took home a goldfish. He's in the twenty gallon for now with the fish in that one in the ten gallon with the betta {completely chill} He's an oranda and really pretty. I'll be getting a 29/30 gallon tank for him if I can find one on cregslist soon though.
Here's a picture of the little bugger

I figured out what's been taking out some of my guppies: internal parasites. I lost one a while back and thought she might have been old, but now that two others are getting skinny I googled it and figured it out. I bought some PraziPro and treated my tank, and noticed an immediate perk up in my sick baby (well, she's almost full grown, but she's still smaller than her mom). She perked up right away, and wasn't pooping white any more. But the mother (she was about 1/2 years, not sure) was getting worse. She wasn't skinny or anything, but she was showing discomfort. She died today. Does anyone know why? All my other fish are fine, and the baby is still improving. She died so abruptly. I'm gonna miss her a lot, she was just a gorgeous fish. She was huge too, about two inches long. I think she'd be glad that her babies are okay though (you know, the two she didn't eat XD)
