Not a member but I thought I would pop in and share something. I just saw the sadest thing on animal planet. There fishing competion show, had a contest to where they had to catch live goldfish in their mouths. Poor goldfish, I also wonder what they did with the thousands of leftover fish in the tanks.

Once a fish has TB, it's pretty much game over for them and, very possibly, the rest of the tank. I've never heard of anything that will cure fish TB other than expensive meds that might not even help the fish, and it can spread to humans. I don't think it's fatal, but it's still pretty nasty, so make sure to keep your hands out of the tank, and, if you must put them in, wear gloves and wash your hands. I'd recommend euthanizing the fish. In all honesty, you might need to euthanize the whole tank and then disinfect it with a bleach based cleaning solution. I think Cardinal dealt with TB in their aquarium once, so they might have some advice.

Picture time! I have sooo many pctures to share, of my 54ltr & the fish, my new pink/blue betta, and my female guppies.

54ltr & fish currently inhabiting it:

The betta loves his big new tank, but for some reason, the rummies are just kicking back on the bottom of the left side. And they go crazy when I forst turn the light on.
Hopefully I'll be able to go get some neons at the weekend.

27ltr. Currently has three female guppies, plus a male betta, who's living in a breeders trap untill i figure out what to do for the filter for the 26ltr: *Note* The guppies were only in the trap/mason jars to take the pictures.
Betta. Complete impulse buy. Didnt intend to get another betta, but I just couldnt resist XD:

Sorry there's so many, but I just had to sure Xd Also, could anyone tell me deffinatly if the blue & pink tailed girls are deffinatly pregnant & how far along if they are? Pretty sure they both are, but I dont have much experiance with guppies. Even less with pregnant ones XD
Also, I still need help with both these questions:

The thing that hangs my filter on for the 26ltr has gone missing.
Anyone got any ideas on what I could use to hang it on untill I find it?
Its an interpet internal power filter.
I really need to move my guppy into it ASAP, he's the last one I have left so I really need to get some more, but I aint gonna risk it in the divided tank again.


Also, my 54ltr should be ready to move my community fish into by the weekend Which means I can get female guppies again!
I saw some stunning girls yesterday, but I'm pretty sure most of them were heavily pregnant (some deffinatly were). Which wouldnt be a problem, if we wernt going on holiday in two weeks. My brother will be coming to feed the fish, but wont be able to move them in/out of breeders traps if they start giving birth.
Any ideas what I could do to prevent the babies getting eaten if they give birth while were away? I have a few of those plastic traps that can be divided, and a net one. And I have plently of plastic canvas to make tank dividers, though I'm not sure what count it is off the top of my head.
Some of them looked fit to burst, so they may give birth before we go, but I'd like to be prepared, just in case.
But, if there isnt anything I can do, then I'll just have to wait to get some till we come back.

Make sure there is plenty of fry grass or plants for the fry to hide in once they've been dropped and that should save most of them.

Yeah, thats what I though about the blue & pink tailed ones. I knew the blue/green girl was, she's so big I have no idea hows she's holding onto em XD When the girl who got em for me netted her, she said 'Wow, this one's very pregnant!'
Whats fry grass? I know there's absolutely loads of plants, but if theres something else I can use, I will...if I can fit it in XD Someone else suggest moss to float on top of the tank aswell, so I'll be getting some when I can.

Fry grass is live plants that look like patches of grass but is use for breeding tanks where I live. PetSmart usually has some in their Live Plants section.

On another note...
Help me name my new boy, he is another Crowntail and he is what I call and Icy red. Lol.
His fins are tipped in an icy blue to transparent white.
I would love to stick with the Japanese names, but I can't think of one that suits him...

I have to move Ryuu from the tank he is in to a different one with a slower, less powerful filter because he is having a rough time swimming in the one he is in now. Poor old fella. He is an elderly fish....

Am I the only one who can picture some of my fish as people really easily? I know what all three of my bettas would look like, how old they'd be, and what they'd wear. Not weird, right? |D
