Fish Lovers 2.0

My friend knows what he's doing. He's rescued tons of fish before (I guess you can say he's a fish rescue) and he's probably got it in his goldfish tank if not in a separate tank. He took a picture and put it on Facebook.

Looks beyond saving in that picture. Hopefully it can pull through though.

Yea, that's what he's hoping too. I'll make sure he gives updates so I can update you guys.

Oh, you mean Yellow Labs? Those aren't probably the best cichlids for a 30 gallon. They are extremely territorial, will gladly kill each other, and grow rather large. The person who I got my 125 from had 4 7 inch labs in there.

Maybe replace them with a few rams or such?

I might know lots about dogs and cats and such, but I'm still learning all about fish.
What are rams?
If I don't replace them with rams, I'll probably do just Saulosi's then. I'm not sure if I'd be able to find any Rusty's around here.

Oh, Saulosi? Those are... fun. I had a 30 gallon with 2 labs, 1 jewel, and a Saulosi for my first cichlid tank. They all teamed up and killed the jewel, then the Saulosi and female lab bred. 1 of the labs got killed by the Saulosi, and then I had 4 fry live to adulthood. And as the Saulosi was really protective of his cave he had, he ended up ramming himself continually into the tank walls when my mom forgot to tip it back over after cleaning the tank. He killed himself from bashing the glass, and then the 4 crossbreeds bullied the mom till she died, and now I have the crossbreeds in the 125 gallon with my other cichlids.

Oh, look up kribensis cichlids instead of bolivian rams. A pair of them would be very fun! Mine are just lovely and swim around the tank together. They even bred and the babies are currently growing up in the nursery tank. They make great parents, and will raise the babies till they are almost full-grown. C:

Oh dear, I'd heard they were semi-aggressive. That sounds more then aggressive D:
I was thinking about Kribensis, but I don't think I'd be able to find any of them around this area. I'll look, but I'd like to have a plan B just in case. Any others that you would suggest for a beginner?

I don't think saulosi are any more aggressive then the other mbuna cichlids your looking at

Now that I think on it, Rai would've been a pretty great Terezi/Latula, too. My friend had a betta that would've made a great Karkat, but he's passed for a while now. I'm glad I'm not the only one c:

I had another fish called Eridan. He was my first betta after the first two, so the first after a very long time. I thought Eridan was an appropriate name, lol. But then Eridan died.
