Jonathan has been hanging out at the bottom of the tank lately. I do see a little biofilm on the tank decor I have for him. I am just worried.

Speaking of colors....I saw a beautiful Blue and white Beta for sale on Yourube. It was so pretty.

I haven't posted here in forever! Here goes...

Red and blue are dominant colors in betta splendens as is the veiltail gene. That's why blue and red veiltails are so common.

I buy a new betta at least once a week, im absolutely awfully addicted lol. I have solids, multi, tri colors, butterflies, marbles (my favorite is my blue/white marble HM), salamanders, red wash, red loss, dragons... i had a pibald but he died =(

Basically, im obsessed with bettas. I just picked up a dragon scale female. She is veiltail and not real gorgeous but at least she should help pass the DS trait to the offspring when i breed her to one of my DS males (got a gorgeous red dragon scale plakat ill try breeding her with)...


Aside from my betta obsession, i picked up 4 dwarf African chichlids (forgot the exact name) and a stick cat which is just awesome! When i get my larger tank, im going to get the alligator ghars (sp?) That my LFS just got in. They are sweet! I have photos on my camera, i need to upload them =)

Dream tank? All bettas! Lots of bettas... this is a dream tho as that would be a war tank with many casualties

Do y'all have a reliable breeder y'all buy Betas from? Like online? Cause I don't want to get ripped off my first time. Also, what's a good price range for some more exotic colors?

How high is an ammonia of 8 in a tank? How bad is it. petshop told me it was fine but then i remembered toboes fish with an ammonia out of decimal range.

I don't know honestly because i've never done an ammonia est before.
