They're all so cute toboe! Question though: are they Plakats/Females, or will their fins grow? And will they stay that colour or will it develop over time? Just curious, as I know nothing about betta fry XD

I know I haven't been on here in awhile, but I am now, and I have a question.

I have a five gallon fish tank with heater, filter, bubbler, light, etc. I keep my betta in there, but I've been having algae issues. I clean it weekly, but I just can't keep up, so I plan on getting some apple snails- 1 or 2. Is my tank big enough? How do I get rid of snail eggs? Are snails likely to climb out of the tank?

I would really appreciate any answers to my snail questions. Thanks!

How many fish and what types are they? : One fish, male betta
How long has it been running? : Urm...I'm not sure. Around a year, I think...
Did you cycle it? : Yes.
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : I don't know.

Try Alge eater fish....snails can cause worms and are extremely annoying if they have eggs because its like invaisiob of the zombie snails!!!!!!

what about a chinese algae eater? they only get about five inches long but still too big for a five gal. though?

I meant the Chinese ones. They keep the tank clean and they are rather funny as well. Lol

They look similar, yes, but it has been awhile since i had the...this. Now that take a closer look, I see they are not the same.

According to your page, however, my tank needs to be eleven times as big to hold a chinese algae eater!
