And technically its not COMPLETELY off topic because its about dogs AND wolves being used as bait. Therefore I was still relating to this topic.

The only photographs I've seen of these so-called dogs being used for bait were obviously photoshopped. And by obvious... I mean really obvious. I've never seen such bad editing in my life; besides, I don't see why people would use dogs (let alone wolves?? O.o) for bait anyways, when I'm sure there are MUCH easier ways to go about it.

Exactly this. That was just an accident people decided to gossip about and blow out of proportion (what happened was the dog got onto the boat and stuck, they didn't know it was there). A dog or wolf would not be able to fit into a shark's mouth and it would be useless bait, not to mention that sharks would much rather have some chum or a seal (depending on species) because it's a part of their diet. Also throwing a dog or wolf off the back of a boat would scare the sharks away.

Magic_Shampoo > I know!! I think people say 'Wolf hunting' because dogs derived from wolves. Well lettme tell you this> The wolf breeds that those dogs durived from are DEAD now. GONE. EXTINCT. So stop acting like if you went out there you could pet a wolf. Wolves can be destructive, so just because they were once endangered doesn't mean they are sacred any more!!! Gah!

Sorry I didn't mean 'You' I was just grouping all people who think that all wolves have to be worshiped and never killed, because they would become endangered again.

No one uses dogs as bait, and absolutely no one has even attempted using a live wolf for bait.

I think grey wolves should only be killed if their posing a threat, but they shouldn't be killed because some guy with a gun wanted to show of to his friends. And if they have to be killed for a threat, then it should be a quick, humane death. If they are endangered, they should still be protected until they repopulate and then the same rules apply.

good, cause i thought that the bears were killing them off as they do for most food. Survival of the fittest is a stupid thing to say. i would just call it the natural order.
