But I always enjoy trying to educate people about hunting, so yeah... it IS kind of annoying to say the least to just say you're against it without providing reasons... if she hates hunting for some reason that is completely wrong (said by a group like PETA for example), I'd like to show her how her perception of hunting is scewed or whatever.

I mean, is it just because she hates animals being killed, no matter how humane? I understand that, if she's also a vegan. Or is it because she doesn't like animals going extinct? Poachers are responsible for that, not hunters... and so on.

What if the world worked like that? Nothing would happen. All we'd do is go around chanting "I HATE ___" or "I LOVE ___" the purpose of a debate is to debate, otherwise just randomly stating your opinion for no reason is pointless and (yes) annoying.

the reason why this thread is made is for people to debate about hunting, telling why they are agianst it or not, otherwise your wasting time here.

What about animals who are over populated and need to have their numbers thinned by humans? Let's face it, there's no way that nature can 'take care of itself' the way it used to with man interfering. And we aren't going anywhere any time soon, and we can't just let animals over populate. It causes a lot of issues, both for them and for us. :/

I forgot to add population control and if they pose a threat. But I only support hunting in a helicopter if it is completly needed.

Actually if wolves and other animals such as deer or elk get over populated they start throwing off other levels of other plants or animals that they may prey on. And then they start starving and dying off slowly instead of quickly by bullet or arrow.

Please remember that while everyone may have differing opinions you should be respecting everyone. This is a family website and the people on the other side of the screen may not be able to articulate their thoughts the way you expect or want them to. If someone is being purposefully antagonizing please report the post. There's no need to jump on someone for expressing an opinion, on either side.

Wolves however, are controlled by the population levels of their prey. They simply aren't meant to be managed by humans. The reason deer need to be hunted is because before humans killed off all other "top predators" they were kept in check by predators. Wolves have never been kept in check by predators; they are kept in check by their prey, therefore it's unnecessary to hunt them.
