I don't think wolf-dogs are good pets at all, but they are even worst for people who get them and expect them to just act like normal dogs. They don't think about the fact that there is a lot of undiluted wolf in them and they are unprepared.

Totally agree. I'd get one if I could handle it but I can't!

I think the stress I'n them depends on how wolf. Some people get them with a high percentage of wolf I'n them and they make even worst pets than normal. Wolves generally wan't to be out running around but wolf dogs can't go off the lead normally because they will run away. I just think they don't get a good life as they can't act on most of their natural behaviors.

I know lots of people get them and then find they can't walk them for whatever reason so they get stuck inside, they generally just go crazy. :(

Agreed! I was so happy my friend did his research! He lives on a farm back were I came from and he has like this HUGE pen thing that he lets his wolf dogs run around in, and it's like this backyard forest, it's so neat! It's got this little stream and everything! Of course, they aren't in there all the time though so they don't feel too free and decide that they are wolves and not pets, so they go inside after a couple of hours.

I'm currently trying to convince my parents to get a dog( it woulld be a family dog so I didn't want to say 'let me get a dog'). My stepdad wants a springer (if we were to get one) but my mum would rather have a small dog. We have 2 cats so we have to make sure the dog gets on with them. I want a rescue dog personally.

I volunteer at a doggie day care place and have spent most of the summer holidays there. <3

My mom says when I'm 17 I can volunteer. Cause she doesn't want to drive me all the way out to volunteer. Lazy. >.>

More than likely we'll be getting a rescue dog, there are three shelters near us plus the city pound and not an awful lot of breeders. I want a rescue dog and I think my parents do too.
