For the poodle suggestion i am worried the other dogs may not get along with a poodle to well.

What makes you say that? Dogs do not care about different breeds. They may have issues with dogs of a certain and/or the same gender, but breed does not normally play a factor unless you have to consider size. As in, a big dog may seriously hurt a smaller dog.

I live in England and Huskies are very expensive/ hard to find. I'll look though.

This is a response from the other thread. (:

I got my Siberian Huskies from an ad bulletin. We got 2 (we didn't get their papers) for $300. I think....

This makes me say that as my neighbor has 3 dogs and each is a different size i am worried that the biggest dog the husky would hurt the poodle since even the biggest poodle is still not bigger then the husky but i might be wrong on that and also i am worried about the smallest dog if i get a big dog since the smallest one could get hurt.

Hehehe, I'm gonna butt in here.

Did you know that little dogs can be very aggressive to dogs larger than them? Yeah, it's little dog syndrome. The smaller dog feels vulnerable around the larger one and attacks.

Well bred huskies, not from a backyard breeder, cost well over $300 each. Your first clue is that they were listed as an ad in the newspaper, second is price and no papers or registration (which is expected to be included). Dogs are quite expensive when they're purebred and gotten from reputable breeders.

Also, Jukebox, training, socialization, and choosing a breed that commonly gets along with other dogs takes care of little dog syndrome. It's nearly always a result of the owner dropping the ball when it comes to training.

Well the size of a standard poodle (the largest size) is 15 inches at the shoulder and weighs between 45-70 pounds. If you want a dog larger than that, then you can try and go for a giant breed dog. But they get expensive in the food department, I have two Great Danes so I know, lol ;)

But if your neighbors dogs are that big of an issue, then some serious training may be needed to make sure those dogs do not hurt any new dog you may get. I'm not really sure how rough they are, but it sounds like a dangerous situation for a new dog...
