Sure thing but I think you'll need to go with a small dog. Maybe a type of Terrier. You need to get them both as small and when they grow up they won't be as bad.

just butting in about the big dogs with small dogs and dogs with cats thing, I own a Neopolitan mastiff X Fila Brasileiro, a Pomeranian X papillon and a Ragdoll cat

The neoX was 5 months when we got the pomX and 6 months later we got the cat and they all get along great and all play together
the neoX is dog aggressive though but mainly only to other large male dogs that he feels the need to show his dominance too
didnt have a pic of the cat with the dogs but I have one of him with my piggies
