@Kobato Fan: I see... I thought it would something among those lines. I get it with rein contact that she wants more/avoids the bit, either isn't that good thing. But with loose reins...

That's just weird. You've probably had her teeth and bit checked out. But if you haven't just a suggestion to check them. Also are you going to use a standing or running martingale?
I have ridden one horse who's reaction to rein contact was usually lifting his head all high and bending his neck backwards, so he would have a bulding lower neck. He was ridden with thiedeman reins(some may know it as a german martingale) for while, which didn't do much. But once or twice when I rode him really really really softly and gave him some space the head came down, though it did spring back up when I moved the rein bit too much. He was othervise lovely as well, though he had huge trot that I couldn't then sit properly, but he actually reacted when I used my seat to slow him down.
@Dolphin: I like the secret santa idea. But I probably would sit out of it as I suck at arts or am too perfectionist with my own work. When drawing head shots of horses are usually the ones I'm most pleased about, but add legs and I hate them. XP But I could help running it then, maybe?

Though it's still few months 'till December, so won't be able to promise 100%.
Show team I'm not too excited personally as I don't show. But as an idea it's not too bad, it just needs to be worked on bit more.
>next page> That arena is freaking HUGE. O_O Heta would have blast there cantering, or galloping more likely, it would be more like a small racing track for her than an arena. XD
@Lord Ghirahim: Fantastic facilitys? Where? Some do have some fancy stuff at their stable, but not all of us. Like at my stable we don't even get running warm water, not to mention general heating in the stables, if I'm not totally mistaken.
Btw, where you called Artemis before? Or am I just confusing you to someone else with same avatar...
@Flitter: I like the collab idea as well.
@Hano: That sucks, and sadly I can't kinda relate to that.

I'm kinda running in circles with Heta at the moment... I would suggest what about every one so far has said. You could ride Kat and another horse? Like even if it would be just fun free ride with Kat that would still count. I think you mentioned sometime that you have been nearly the only one riding Kat for while, so I'm thinking you probably could continue riding him, even if you would no longer have a certain goal with him.
@12cj3: Joddies, as in pants or shoes? The joddies/jodhpurs -word always confuses me greatly as to me joddies are shoes, but to some they are riding pants. XD

So the weather ended up being really nice in the afternoon yesterday. It also got really warm, around 20C. So I had a nice trail ride with barely no bugs and with lots and lots of cantering. XD It seems that Heta has found her canter gear again, as well as the joy of trails as there's not so much bugs around anymore. Now when I ask her to trot, after a while of trotting she starts to offer canter, which I don't really mind as her canter is really nice and calm. Compaired to what her trot may have been before the canter, speedy=bumpy.

We met one baby carriage on the trail, which needed to be stared very instensly while walking past. Sadly it was on a trail that wold have been real nice to go faster. It's a dead end trail on horseback, so I had to wait out a little to put some distance between us before I could go faster on the way back. Then there's the small fallen tree I've been using as a jump, it's kinda small though. This time Heta decided to leap over that fallen tree. Or so I would describe it as it wasn't exactly a jump or just running over it. There's also two fallen trees that make kind of on oxer, they are maybe half meter appart, or bit less, and higher than the tree we've been 'jumping' now. They still have branches sticking up, so it's not jumpable(?). Even if it was I don't think Heta would get it's wide and would end up middle of it.
Speaking of trails, I have to load those images of the trail to the computer... Today's day off for Heta so I have time to mess around, as I also got off work earlier than I expected. (:
Also some (possible)pregnancy update. Heta has been peeing a lot more. I asked L about it as I've noticed she pees after almost every ride. L agreed with me saying that Heta's stall has been lot wetter than others'. Then I started thinking about the pregnant mares and mares with little foals in collage, who's stalls were super annoying to clean as they were more dirty than others.
