@wibeke: I am so happy that you also had such a great ride. You and Major are becoming such an unstoppable team <3 I am so proud of you guys. Aww that's great that he was so good for you today. No stirrups work is so fun, and I love it. I still really want to do a full hack without stirrups and actually take them off my saddle but I haven't gotten that far yet xD I am affraid I will still get tired and want my stirrups back. Baby steps though.

If I were a horse I would be a 16 hh Hanoverian mare. I would probably be a bay with a blaze and a sock and coronet on opposite legs. Once I got to know my rider and know they are good I would put them up to all kinds of tests. If they didn't ask me something correctly then I would play games with them. Yes, I would be a tricky one. Then again, I can be the perfect-dream horse other days when everything goes well. I would be your ideal hunter horse, with beautiful flowing gaits. I am very loveable though since on the ground I have a very sweet and calm disposition. I love showing and once I step into that show ring I am ready to strut my stuff. Shows is the place that I love to show off my ground covering strides and be that dream horse everyone wants. I am in it to win it. I would also love doing cross country in my free time and heading into the jumper ring every now and then.

@ Dolphin; Haha, I would love to be a warmblood... but I simply don't act like one, and I'm not built like one. I'm slim, and skinny, even though I have muscle. My friend would be a warmblood, though. She has a more stocky build, even though she's really slim, and she has a lot of muscle. o.o

I'm going to persevere with Hugo. I'm giving him one last chance.. but if things don't shape up I'm going to force myself to move on.
I realized though, the few times that I actually had the most fun on Hugo was when we were actually jumping, but out of no where my instructor has decided to go back to square one because I need to learn more about English riding? I don't remember doing anything wrong.. all I did was fall off and loose a bit of my confidence.
He says I really hang on my reins too, but if I remember correctly you were the one who told me I need to have a tight rein, and even if I do, why in the world would he wait until now to tell me I need to do work with no reins? When I have the least confidence ever with this particular horse?

Honestly... I think that you need to talk to your trainer! He probably thinks that your confidence is still down and that you don't want to jump. Or maybe ask to ride a different horse since Hugo makes you a bit nervous?

My ride was great Rosie listened to me and today's weather was a big help. Rosie's canter was bad though she is too much on her fore legs so i really have to sit back and pull on her mouth. She throws her head (like usual) and I have to kick her to keep her going. I jumped over a cross rail she keep going to the side a few times and i stopped when she got it right after three tries.

Rosie has bot fly eggs so after words i had to scrub those off and i think I got most of them.Yay!! I just got a new saddle and it fits just right on Rosie and now my trainer has to see it and give me my martingale to get Rosie to stop swinging her head.
