Gaited riding(gaits) in my books equals Icelandic horse riding. And it should not to be mixed with saddle seat. I could explain about gaited riding, but that post would end up like a small novel... XD

@juney: 3 cm is around 1 inch. For a pony cross that would sound quite high in my oppinion, though NFs aren't the smallest ponies around. New Forest X Friesian sounds like an interesting cross though, but I doubt you are even considering getting it now. How old they said the horse was anyway?

I know it's kind of late, but oh my god. I have never once, besides being a whiny baby in a crib, have ever cried, and that story made me cry. It's hard losing a horse. The horse I rode two years ago died suddenly, and I still miss him. But, I didn't have a bond with that horse, you loved Max, and it's not stupid to love him either. Everyone has a bond with a horse, even if it's not their's. If Bam Bam was to die, I swear I wouldn't ride for months. I couldn't do it. You're being strong, and I'm praying for and Rose, hun. <33.

I can't take the crap from my friend anymore. She always brags about how awesome and cute her horses are. My horse will stand there when a semi comes by blowing its horn, and her horses would run away and spook but yet she still thinks he horses are better. And there not trained very well either, one of them is scared of cars. Then today I showed my friend a picture of my horse, and my other friend started talking about how ''He's not as cute as my pony''. She always says my horse is ugly. I barrel race, and she wants to. Everything I do she wants to. I know she just jealous that her horses aren't built for barrel racing and mine is. I'm tired of it. I'm almost ready to stop riding so I don't have to hear it anymore.

@ i have no idea , the stallion was smaller than the mare,thats the only thing i did know, and my mom said about the 3cm,but yeah,she didnt know excactly.

Thank you, so is your horse <3 I tried that, but since she sits with me in school it's kinda hard D: But, if she does it again tomorrow (this has been going on for a long time, and it mostly starts when I started barrel racing. Imagine that) but I'll say something to her face this time. My friend that barrel races with me has about gone off on her, too. I hate that, and I feel sorry for you, but why do you let her brag? Have you tried talking to her about how much it hurts or that you don't want to listen to it anymore? You shouldn't stop doing what you love because of a friend. Have you ever considered asking/telling her that if she valued you and your friendship with her, that she should stop bragging, it doesn't matter, just live in the friendship moments. Friends should brag or anything, they should make each other laugh, not fed up.

i also know how it feels, but since she was going to far, we werent friends anymore.
it also really really depens on what you like.
because juney ( my horse ) is an friesian, and hers is an paint, so its also what you like , but i know what you feel. well, not exactly, because everyone is different, but, you know what i mean.. i hope ^^
