Riley is 10 years old. I am so blessed to have found him... he is such a sweet horse!
@ Arabesca; Welcome to the horse world!
I know that it's every person's dream to own a horse, but quite honestly it is a very big responsibility. I know that it may seem sort of easy, but trust me. I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed with a half lease, which is where I basically own half of the horse.
This may sound disappointing, but you are not ready to own a horse if you have only been riding twice. Even though you may know how to groom, tack up, etc. there are still many other things that you must know. You must also know how to ride well. There are a lot of things, both on the ground and in the saddle, that can only be learned with experience. Right now you should focus on riding lesson horses, learning about horses and the care of them, and not look into buying a horse, especially a green (not completely trained) horse. Greenies need a lot of guidance and experience to help them develop skills properly.
Anyways, I hope that I didn't burst your bubble or something similar. But keep on dreaming about owning a horse one day!
@ Slater; OHMYGOSH yes! I do!
I wonder why April (Flitter) hasn't been on here recently... I miss her...

xD my trainer bought a horse at the auctions. shes so well breed even as a yearling she is worth at LEAST $5,000 without training. Omg she is stunning and she has some great m movement. Shes from some massive cutting horse lines and stuff. So my trainer will let me buy her and i can take her to my college and have her trained in Dressage, Western, or jumping. And after even just two months of training, her price will double to $10,000. Omg shes so cute and willing! Ill post pictures when i can. XD we saved her from going to slaughter to. She costed us $100. Nobody but us bid on her, but ya. I get her for $500. I so hope i can get her! Shes just so cute!
